Magic stared at the molten rock bubbling in front of her. She'd come into the mines to look for Apo after he'd run away from her, and Krow and Ayngel. Magic's mind was on other things now. Namely, the lava. It was clearly rising, even if it was rising so slowly she couldn't see it. She shifted closer, then further away. The rock underneath her seemed to shift. Magic jumped higher, then watched in horror as lava started seeping through the cracks of the rock she'd been standing on mere moments ago. "Apo!" She called one last time in desperation. There was no answer. Finding Apo would have to wait. Magic sprinted away from the mines, heading towards Soup's house. Maybe she would find Graecie there.
