Chapter 26. Obsession

Evander's P.O.V

I left the house early in the morning. What Chris didn't know was that I was like any other alpha. I was a jealous prick when it came to my lovers or child. Lucah was the only one I ever cared for. I had eyes on him twenty-four-seven. He told me he felt suffocated in our relationship before he left. I still had things to settle with Aiden. I asked my driver to bring me to the five-star hotel he was staying at. Aiden seemed to be enjoying the luxury. He would soon regret crossing me.

Aiden was in the shower when I arrived. I took a seat on the one-seat sofa, then called Chris. Chris instantly answered his phone. His voice sounded hoarse. "Did you just get out of bed, babe?" I asked my mate. Chris coughed, then replied, "Yes. I didn't expect you to leave so early. Maxim was looking for you. He calmed down when his package arrived. Your father has sent him a beautiful wooden train and some other stuff. We can put the train together when you come home." Chris went quiet when I said, "I'm with Aiden right now. I'll be sending you a short video in a while. Please, watch it. After reviewing it, you will understand why I'm here."

Aiden walked out of the bathroom as I was saying goodbye to Chris. One of my bodyguards instantly pushed him to the floor. Aiden huffed, then asked, "Why am I being treated like a criminal, Evander? Have you forgotten that I'm the father of your future child?" I couldn't help but laugh. Aiden frowned and yelled, "What's so funny?" I grabbed Aiden by the throat and said, "Don't test my patience, Aiden. I'm already in a bad mood. I can't believe I let you ride my dick. I should have known you were scheming something. You will pay for raping me. I promise you that." Aiden smirked and uttered, "Have you forgotten what I told you before, Evander? I'll get pregnant with your child no matter what you do. It's my will. The forces will never disappoint me. They will honor my wish with an alpha son." 

I stared into Aiden's eyes and asked, "Do you recall what happened last night?" Aiden huffed, then replied, "Of course. I was only out for an hour." I summoned Syl and said, "Explain to Aiden what happened after he fell unconscious last night, Syl." Syl nodded, then stated, "I contacted Mr. King's physician and asked him to administer a morning-after pill to you. He also cleaned out the semen. The doctor assured us you wouldn't get pregnant with Mr. King's child now." Aiden tried to slap me. I pushed him away, then yelled, "Did you think I was stupid? I have finally found the man of my dreams. I won't let anyone ruin my relationship with Chris." Aiden sobbed and said, "You will pay for this, Evander King. I just wanted a child and nothing more. I grabbed Aiden by the hair, then uttered, "Stop bullshitting me. You are not smart enough to pull this off alone. Tell me the truth before I lose my mind and kill you."

Aiden wiped his tears away and said, "You are right. Why should I suffer alone?" I patted Aiden's cheek, then replied, "That's a good boy. People like you love to betray their employers. Now tell me who hired you, and what's their goal?" Aiden gazed at the bodyguards, then replied, "It was Leonard Eckhart. He noticed how much Christopher had changed since he started living with you. He could see the Eckhart empire's downfall and wanted to prevent it. Leonard thought that Christopher would stay obedient to him and return home. He was disappointed when he found the hidden clauses his son had placed in the marriage contract. No one can break your marriage according to the contract. Mr. Eckhart is still adamant about crushing his son's heart. He wants him back as soon as possible. Trust me, Cristopher isn't safe. Leonard will do anything to gain the upper hand. Petra and he knows how much Christopher loves you, so be careful. They will be coming for you too."

I chuckled while thinking about the Eckharts. Those people were more impertinent than I thought. There was suddenly a knock on the door. I smirked at Aiden and declared, "I have heard enough. I will deal with the Eckharts accordingly. It's time for you to go." Aiden looked at me in shock and asked, "What do you mean?" Syl opened the door and said, "The rapist is here, officers. I hope my boss will get the justice he deserves." Aiden tried to flee. The officers pinned him down, then arrested him. I laughed when Aiden yelled, "You will see me soon, Evander King!" I had already made arrangements with the precinct. Aiden was going away for a few years. I grabbed my phone and texted, "I love you," to Chris. He didn't reply, but I didn't care. Chris was probably watching the video. He would contact me later.

I went to work after wrapping things up at the hotel. Chris was sleeping on the sofa with Maxim when I returned home. I woke them up and had a snack with my loved ones. We put the train together in the evening. Maxim needed materials to build a toy train station. I promised to take him shopping the next day. Chris went to his room early. I put Maxim to bed, then joined him. Chris was staring blankly at the window. I threw my arm around him and said, "I know what you are going through, babe. I'm here if you need me." I hugged Chris when he started crying. My mate tried to push me away. It broke my heart when Chris uttered, "I'm sorry for crying, Van." I cupped Chris's face and kissed him passionately.

I gazed into my mate's eyes and declared, "We are one now, darling. We will laugh and cry together from now on. Don't ever think that I will mind if you lose yourself." Chris hugged me tightly and asked, "Why does my family hate me so much, love? What did I ever do to deserve this?" I trembled in excitement when Chris called me "Love." I rubbed my mate's back and replied, "Your family doesn't hate you, Chris. They are just afraid of losing everything without you. Your parents should have taught Ceasar how to handle business. It's not your fault that the empire is suffering losses. Forget about them. You have us now. Concentrate on your health. I'll make sure that no one harms you."

Christopher grabbed my collar, then kissed me intensely. He pushed me onto the bed, then climbed on top of me. I looked at Chris in astonishment when he tore off my shirt. Chris kissed me and said, "Help me forget everything, Van." I wasn't going to let him say that twice. I pushed Chris down, then took off his clothes. I kissed every part of Chris's body. Chris moaned when I began preparing him. He gazed at my thick member, then licked his lips. Chris pulled me closer and kissed me roughly. I smiled when he sucked my tongue. It seemed like Chris was eager to please me. I didn't want to hurt Chris, so I slowly pushed my member into his entrance. Chris hugged me tightly in pain. I kissed his cheek and stated, "Relax. The pain will be over soon."

Chris forced me to move after a while. I lost my mind when he began matching my moves and pace. I felt pure ecstasy and didn't want it to stop. Chris pushed me down and started riding me. I frowned when he said, "I hope I'm better than Aiden." I pulled Chris down, then bit his neck. Chris hissed in pain, then ejaculated on my stomach. I was at my limit too. I cupped Chris's face and ejaculated while kissing him. Chris fell on my chest while panting. I threw my arm around my mate and stated, "You can close your eyes for a few minutes. I'm exhausted too." Chris kissed my chest, then uttered, "Thank you for sending me the video, Van. I'm satisfied with the way you handled Aiden. Hopefully, we won't see him again." I stroked Chris's head, then replied, "You don't have to worry about him, babe. He will flee to another country when he gets released."

Chris fell asleep on my chest. I carefully moved Chris, then cleaned him up. Chris had already left the room when I woke up in the morning. There was a delicious smell coming from the kitchen. I took a shower, then joined Chris. Chris kissed me, then uttered, "Good morning, babe. There is fresh coffee in the pot. Maxim wanted to eat chicken noodle soup. I decided to make it for him before I got busy." I nodded and replied, "I would love some soup too." Chris kissed me softly and said, "Great. Take a seat. It will be ready in a minute." Maxim ran into the kitchen, followed by his nanny. He climbed onto my lap and asked, "Are we going shopping today, Daddy?" I checked my schedule and said, "I will pick you up in the afternoon, okay." Maxim nodded cutely at me.

I decided to watch some news while eating. I got startled when Maxim yelled, "Look at that, Daddy! Isn't that the man who we met at the restaurant? What happened to him?" I sighed when I recognized Maxim's birth father. I couldn't tell Maxim that one of his biological father's rape victims had shot him in the chest. I couldn't tell him that I was behind it either. Chris kissed Maxim's head, then declared, "He did some bad things, sweetheart. He got shot for his crimes. Now quiet down and eat your food." Maxim instantly grabbed his spoon and started eating. Chris chuckled when the boy kicked his feet and yelled, "It's delicious, Papa!" I kissed Chris's temple and uttered, "Thank you, babe." My phone rang while I was enjoying some juice. Lucah was calling me. He texted me, "I know it was you," when I didn't pick up my phone. I blocked Lucah's number, then placed my phone on silent. I didn't have time to deal with dumb people.
