ᴺᴼᵂ ᴾᴸᴬʸᴵᴺᴳ : "all the good girls go to hell"
ᴠᴏʟᴜᴍᴇ : ▮▮▮▮▮▮▮▯▯

Humans don't fall from the sky down to Hell like a fallen angel might in Teyvat. Their journey to Hell is more mundane, actually.

Typically, a reaper comes to fetch their soul in order to guide it to the underworld—to Hell, or, an angel guides their good soul to the heavens above—Celestia.

Reapers and angels, however, can also make mistakes when doing their job.

Due to this, instead of (Y/n) meeting her reaper or angel—she ended up waking up in the middle of nowhere.

(E/c) eyes snapped open and were greeted by a grey sky. The clouds rumbled, signaling a storm to come. The human woman didn't know where her fingers started or where her toes ended. She felt numb—and was afraid to move.

Where were was she?

Did some cruel miracle happen in which she managed to survive being burned alive but was brought back alive to relive it?

Either way, she didn't want to move.

The lush grass underneath her felt like a cushioned bed. Cool to the touch, but not cold enough to render her freezing. The air around her was actually quite humid. She was glad that the grass was at least on the cooler side. She always enjoyed laying on grass, it reminded her of the days in which she had all the free time in the world to read under her favorite tree

There, she'd be lulled to sleep by the cool shade of the tree, and the gentle breezes of wind. Then, when she'd awaken from her nap, it would leave her with a warm fuzzy feeling and she'd slowly get up and make her way back home in a calm trance.

Yes... perhaps she was in heaven...? It sure felt like it.

Splat.

'Ah... it's raining. Maybe it's time to get up.'

If she could.

She curled her fingers and immediately felt a static-like pain travel up her fingers to her arm, the feeling made her jolt up in shock, causing even more of the static pain to ripple throughout her body. The pain was so numbingly uncomfortable and borderline painful.

It felt similar to the feeling of her legs when they'd fall asleep during long sessions of reading.

Except this time it was worse.

It was felt everywhere.

The accused witch cried out and let her body drop limp onto the floor as she clenched her jaw to hold back a whimper.

'Can't move. Just... wait it out.' She told herself.

Her eyes glanced over to her limp arm. There were no signs of burn marks, her flesh was still intact. She was still wearing the clothes she was burned with—except they were in pristine condition... like she was never lit on fire.

She was fully intact, but knew that meant she was most likely dead despite feeling and looking alive. She knew she had died. The pain of her last moments were unforgettable. Especially the physical and mental pain she experienced. It was trauma that would be stuck with her forever. Even if she could go back home... everything and everyone she held dear was gone or betrayed her. There was nothing left for her there.

She was a dead woman walking now.

She was conscious.

Still remembered everything.
