The dictionary proved to be very useful as (Y/n) expected. Her dinner the night before was quite pleasant, not that she'd admit that to Ayato. He had fed her to the point that she passed out the moment her head hit her pillow. The following morning she woke up with the dictionary sitting on her nightstand wrapped with a light blue ribbon and tied into a bow like a present.

"Light blue will look beautiful on you, little lamb~"

The Avatar of Gluttony's words echoed in her mind as she observed the blue ribbon resting on the desk near her glass of water. She sighed out her nose and finished off her summary paper of the children's story book. Once the last period was written she began to clean up the clutter on her desk. Her mind wandered off to the green that she wore and surrounded her. She was in Alhaitham's territory after all, but she wasn't sure how he managed to get the appropriately sized clothing for her and didn't think twice about making sure there were a decent amount of green. It made the woman wonder if he even thought about explaining to her why all she had was green, black, and white in her closet. She just assumed it was his favorite color and he was one of those kinds of people that were ecstatic about their favorite color—despite his lack of expressive facial expressions.

The lamb decided she should probably question her so-called teacher about it.

Once her desk was organized she picked up the blue ribbon from Ayato and tied it into her hair. Then without wasting anymore time she got her notebook and left her room, making a beeline towards Alhaitham's room.

The first few nights in hell out (Y/n) on edge, but knowing that the Avatar of Sloth's room was across from hers eased her anxious mind—though just by a bit.

"The other occupants of this manor are squirming around because of the odd events happening here that have prevented them from resuming their normal activities. While it doesn't affect me personally, they've gotten more loud and annoying. Which is why..." he turned around.

(E/c) orbs met his turquoise ones.

"I'm going to solve what's going on, and I'm going to start with you."

The human woman thought about the demon's words the first day she had awoken in the manor. She wasn't sure how much progress Alhaitham had made while she was tasked to learn how to read from scratch. She wanted to help and now that she had a very basic understanding of the ancient language she would be able to do some searching, or so she hoped.

She knocked on the jade colored door to Sloth's room and waited for him to answer it as her mind wandered off to think about her short summary essay. She even went the extra mile to write it in the ancient language after she wrote a rough draft in her own language. She wasn't sure if it was well written as she didn't know how the grammar worked for the ancient language but she hoped it at least made some sense. The human began to tap her foot when the door still went unanswered so she knocked on it again.

Fortunately this time it was answered.

Alhaitham's sleepy voice beckoned her inside and she wrapped her (s/c) fingers around the doorknob before opening it.

The room was unsurprisingly styled in the Academia Era of Sumeru, though while it looked beautiful it didn't look very homey. The only evidence that the nicely styled room was well lived in was the mess of books everywhere. (Y/n) had expected her teacher to be messy since she had seen the way he worked in the library, so she was unfazed as she made her way through the maze of stacked books to reach Alhaitham on the other side of the room.
