The silence was loud enough to hear a pin drop.

(Y/n) crossed her arms and leaned back into her chair as she waited for anyone to say something.

The demons in the room either shared glances or pondered over what she had told them.

"Sounds like torture. I'm against such a barbaric idea." Diluc finally spoke up, the area between his brows were slightly scrunched to show his disproval.

"Well... it's not like we have many options." Kaeya shot the witch a reassuring smile, his words were sure to spark an argument and he knew it.

"Are you suggesting that we electrocute her or burn her just to get rid of the name?" Alhaitham shut his book with a loud 'snap' that nearly had (Y/n) flinching at the sound.

"Oh please, let's not escalate to dramatics here." The flamboyant navy haired demon waved his hand dismissively, while his other hand worked on buttoning up his white shirt—which he stole from Sloth's closet across the hall.

(Y/n) gave the scholar a look, "Listen to Kaeya. Besides, they're just ideas that were brought up by the Grim Reaper."

"Yes, the Grim Reaper." Diluc made his way over to her, "Also know as Death." He placed his hand on the back of her chair, swerving it around to face him, much to Childe's dismay.

"Hey, keep your hands off her!" The ginger complained, not liking the way that her attention was now off him.

Wrath's ruby eyes looked at him through his lashes, glaring, "I am not touching her."

"You're too close to her!"

(Y/n) loudly groaned and smacked her hand against her face, dragging it down in exasperation. "Can we all just be... civil here? I need ideas, not arguments!" She smacked Diluc's hand off the back of the chair and tugged his wrist to make him sit down at the edge of her bed. "Go sit there!"

Her angry tone had Diluc sitting down without another peep—he already made her mad today and he didn't want to be on her bad side again. It was terrible.

"He's too close! I need leg space here!" Greed complained and attempted to kick Wrath off the bed until he got smacked on the back of his head by (Y/n).

"And you! Stop complaining! You're still not well, so sit there quietly and shut up so you can focus on getting better!" She scolded the blue eyed demon and ignored how downcast he got with every word that escaped her lips.

"...Can I at least hold your hand...?"

The other demons in the room rolled their eyes at him, but frowned when she gave in because he promised to stay quiet—for a bit.

"Now... where were we?" The witch averted her eyes back to them.

"Do you actually believe in what Grim said?" Kaeya raised a brow and caught her eyes.

"Well... we're talking about the head reaper here, who know about souls better than anyone else. And I'm," she subconsciously squeezed Childe's hand due to her nerves, "willing to do anything to be free from Celestia."

Their silence unnerved her, but also annoyed her. She didn't understand why it felt like she was asking for their permission. It's not like she needed it—but it would've been easier if she got their help.

"Perhaps," Ayato spoke up and noticed everyone turned to look at him, if anyone had a plan—or scheme—it was him, "we should look outside of the reapers network."
