"Pretty plain huh? That's what I thought too when I first saw it." Itto shook his head, the half-inflated ducky floaty in his hand made a noise that signaled that it was losing air—fast. "Oh no!" He cried out and continued to blow it up with air.
She shook her head at his antics and patted him on the back before heading off to the tent with Dainsleif—which was set up at a reasonable distance away from the water.
(Y/n) had briefly mentioned to Zhongli about her past, and how growing up in a small village meant that she barely had any opportunities to see the beautiful sights that nature had to offer. One of them being the ocean—or rather—the beach. She had blabbed on about wanting to experience it at some point when she was still alive, but didn't get the opportunity to... thanks to being lit on fire and dying.
She had completely forgotten about what she had told him, until one day, he appeared and told her to get ready to go to the beach. It was surprising, she didn't know Hell had one.
Though, she supposed there was a reason why she hadn't heard of it. Just like how the sky was always a cloudy grey, the beach and the... ocean? Faired no better. It looked quite washed of the colors she'd seen of the beaches in her books. But if the cloudy sky in Hell was the same beautiful blue as it was in Teyvat, then she was sure the sight would've been just as beautiful. All this place needed was some color. Despite being cloudy, it was still pretty hot. Perhaps it was because she was in Hell.
"Where do I put these?" She held up a basket full of ingredients with one hand, which was grabbed by two different hands. The witch slowly blinked and watched as light blue clashed with red. Meanwhile, her familiar took the other baskets that he was holding to the table for prep.
"I got it." Diluc's gruff voice cut through the awkward silence.
"Please, let me do the honors. I am the Avatar of Gluttony after all." Ayato's default smile was present on his lips as he managed to pull the basket from their grasps.
"All the more reason for me to take it." The red haired demon sighed but shook his head before turning his attention to (Y/n). "Want anything to drink?"
"Surprise me, Mr. Bartender." She flashed him a smile and watched as he nodded and returned a—albeit small—smile and went to make her a beverage.
"One Death Afternoon too, please~" Kaeya's velvety smooth voice rang near the witch's ear and she nearly jumped out of her skin. She didn't even hear him approach.
"And one Fire Water!" Childe chimed from her other side. The witch snickered when Diluc only took one other glass out, presumably for Kaeya's drink.
"Ugh. What a petty demon." The ginger tsked and he wrapped an arm around (Y/n)'s shoulder then shot Kaeya a playful look. "Why don't we go play a game while they set up?"
"I swear on the Avatar of Pride that it better not—"
"Oh c'mon, koshka! I like to play games just for fun too you know!"
"Volleyball?" Kaeya leaned towards them to catch their attention.
When he did so, (Y/n) suddenly was reminded of their attire. They were all shirtless, with shorts suitable for swimming, excluding Dainsleif and Ayato. The latter wore a loose fitting robe that could easily slip off his shoulders if he moved around too much. She hoped he was wearing shorts underneath, because his toned chest was bare. He had winked at her earlier when he had caught her staring. The former, however, still wore his usual attire. He was there to protect his master, he had no time to play around on the beach.
