Itto was quite new to the 'controlling your sin' bullcrap. It was hard to stop himself from feeling it, and it definitely did not help that he so happened to hear odd sounds coming from a room in his shared wing with Ayato.

At first he thought he was imagining things. He scoffed to himself and was about to go along his merry way until a familiar voice had his feet glued onto the floor.

"A—Ayato..."

The blood drained from Envy's face. He was definitely imagining things... right? There was no was that she would sound like that.

No way.

Then, he suddenly remembered that she had taken up his debt when she got the job at Devil's Share. Perhaps she was being tortured with endless amounts of food his fellow demon threw at her.

Gluttony could be quite the sadist when he wanted.

The white haired demon could hear the soft voice of Ayato as he praised (Y/n). Although he couldn't hear him quite well, he assumed his friend was cheering her on for eating so much food despite being full. Of course. Yep. That's all what it was.

"Oh my... sweet... thing~... you deserve to come...?"

The poor demon of envy nearly doubled over. He misheard that... he definitely misheard it! There was no way! Absolutely no way!

"Please... I need..."

"...I'll take good care of you."

Itto's fingers twitched and he slowly inched over to the sliding door. He gulped and strained his neck so he could place his ear against the door to double check if he was hearing things. The sound of lewd noises immediately caused him to retreat. His face turned red, was he a pervert for listening in on them? For goodness sake it's not like he knew they were getting it on behind those closed doors!

His chest painfully ached and he didn't know why it felt much worse than the previous times that it did.

Itto needed to speak to someone to help him understand this feeling. Someone that could tell him what was wrong with him. He'd already asked Wrath and Pride for advice but they told him the same things over and over again. It was getting repetitive and it was annoying.

He needed another opinion. Another set of eyes to take a look at whatever was going on with him and put a name to it. Preferably someone who'd get straight to the point instead of beating around the bush. He wanted someone to answer his questions and not tell him to search far and wide for something that would make sense.

Before he knew it, his feet moved on their own accord and he found himself in the wing of a certain scholar and in front of his door.

Envy took a deep breath and rapped his knuckles against the wooden surface. It took a minute until he heard sluggish movement on the other side before the door opened.

Tired turquoise eyes peered into red ones.

"State your business."

By the time Itto had finished explaining everything, night had already began to settle in the sky. Only the flickering of candles throughout the room made it possible for the two demons to see each other, though it was harder for Itto to see Alhaitham as the grey haired demon was surrounded with piles of books at his desk.
