"Ah man, what a great night. Choosing you as my date was probably the best choice I've ever made." Childe sighed in content and took her gloved hand in his as he placed a kiss on her knuckles.

(Y/n) chuckled as she curtsied, "You're welcome. I'm glad you had fun, sweetheart."

The ginger raised his brow, "Oh...? What a flirt," he snickered, "I wonder who could've influenced you." He hoped that she wasn't a flirtatious drunk that couldn't handle one glass of wine. Being a lightweight would mean that her mind wasn't clear when she shared a kiss with him.

"None other than the Avatar of Lust himself." She winked at him.

"Nothing comes for free, but if this was then I'd still pay you back somehow or return the favor."

A smirk formed on his lips, "A favor you say? I have a simple request if that's the case."

"Alright, what is it?"

"Childe has been stirring up quite a lot of trouble as of late. I fear Zhongli might reach the end of his wits trying to keep the reapers off his back. If you would so kindly put that demon in his place or mellow him out then that would be great."

"Simple request my ass. Why is he suddenly my responsibility?" (Y/n) sighed.

"You're fit for the job because he's fond of you—and you possess a unique power. That's where the ball comes in, where you can use it, think of it as a little experiment." Kaeya mused as he sealed the envelope with her measurements inside with wax.

"And what's this experiment?"

"Using the power of your soul against someone. I think you have a decent amount of experience with souls to use yours on one of us."

Lust softly chuckled when he saw her look at him skeptical. "I can't regenerate my energy though. I was lucky that exposure to the odd ley line 'recharged' my soul... and I don't want to waste it."

"Don't worry. I'll compensate you every time you use it. Cross my heart—"

"I'll do it if you tell me why." (Y/n) stared at him, "Why do you want me to use it?"

The playful smile on his lips slowly faded away and he sighed, "Always persistent for answers aren't we?"

"Well of course. I have to be." The witch crossed her arms.

Kaeya's periwinkle eye scanned over her features. She was on guard, which meant that if he said something she didn't like then the opportunity would be out of arms reach. He scratched his head, she had him in a tough spot.

"I speculate that your soul could help lessen the effects of our sins." He caved in and heard her gasp.

"What...? How is that possible?"

"You're an anomaly, dear." The navy haired demon placed his hands on his hips, "It means that Hell doesn't have a way to deal with you—you're its weakness. A variable not counted for that could destroy the foundations of this place."

He didn't know if that was a good or bad thing.

"Shit..." Childe groaned as his hand slapped against his forehead. It was too good to be true that she just wanted to kiss him for the sake of it.

"Don't worry. I wasn't forced to do anything. Besides," a charming smile formed on the witch's lips, "you kept me entertained the whole night as promised. What kind of partner would I be if I didn't do the same?"
