Brows furrowed as (Y/n) slowly began to regain consciousness.

Her vision was blurry but clear enough for her to see that she no longer laid face down on the dirt outside, but was currently occupying a bed with plush pillows and a warm comforter.

She could feel the bandages wrapped around the parts of her body that ached from the chase. Her nose was able to pick up the lack of the smell of dirt and blood.

Which meant...

She immediately sat up, her face burning from the flustering thought that someone had intimately taken care of her injuries and even cleaned her while she was unconscious.

The room she was in was luxurious. Something she'd never thought she'd see for her own two eyes, but only read about or see in the pictures of the books. Cream colored walls with golden accents, lights lit with bulbs, a large golden chandelier, and beautifully crafted furniture decorated the room.

Most delightfully of it all was the large shelf full of books!

The (h/c) haired woman carefully peeled the comforter off herself as she made her way out of the queen sized bed. There were even slippers set aside for her to use.

All worries were pushed aside and in came the curiosity. She slipped her feet into the fluffy slippers and limped towards the bookshelf.

The ache of pushing her muscles to the max has taken its toll on her. The adrenaline has long worn off, and now she was able to feel everything.

She sighed as she gently felt the spine of the books before her. They didn't have any names on it. So she pulled out a random book.

"You're finally awake." A deep voice spoke.

(Y/n) jumped a bit from the sudden appearance of a man in the room. The book in her (s/c) hands fell out, "W—Who are you?!"

"I should be asking you that, especially since I found you passed out in front of my home." The man walked past the book shelf stationed near the entrance that was somewhat blocked from (Y/n)'s view, she was towards the other side far from the exit of the room.

Her eyes widen when she saw him.

If she had to admit, (Y/n) has probably never seen a man just as handsome as him.

His face caught her full attention, her (e/c) eyes met his turquoise ones; he had red pupils, a very unique trait. His fluffy grey hair reached past his ears, his bangs nearly covered his left eye and you noticed he had mint green highlights. He was fair-skinned, tall, and quite muscular—which was easy to tell since he wore a loose fitting white shirt, with a v line that showed a modest amount of his chest, nicely fitted black slacks, and... bright green house slippers?

"I... I was being chased by those... dogs if you can call them that." She softly sighed before carefully bending down to pick up the book she had dropped.

"They wouldn't have chased you if you didn't enter the woods that surrounds this place. There's a reason why they're there." The man crossed his arms. It would've seemed like he was scolding her, but his monotone vocals made it devoid of any emotion. It made it hard to tell if he was upset, angry, or didn't really care about her sudden appearance.

(Y/n) huffed as she snatched up the book from the floor, "Well if I have known that then I wouldn't have hmm... I don't know—magically woken up from there!" She slightly raised her voice, slightly annoyed when she remembered how she got to this man's house (more like mansion) in the first place.
