Liko wakes up aboard the Brave Asagi. Remembering how her Sprigatito was taken from her the previous night, and she hears Ash's loud snoring.
Liko: Ash, wake up!
Liko shakes Ash awake
Ash: Huh?! Oh hey Liko, good morning!
Liko: You snore so loud!
Ash: Heh, sorry
Pikachu: Pika Pika...
Liko gets dressed into her uniform, but Ash is seen in the same attire from his previous journey, with his new red shoes instead of his old blue and black ones.
Liko: You had extra clothes?
Ash: Yeah, that uniform gets uncomfy from time to time.
They step out of their cabin to find Orla, Murdock, and Mollie on the deck.
Orla: Friede is looking for the Explorers so we can get your Sprigatito back.
Ash: Sweet! Hear that Liko?
Friede soon returns.
Friede: I managed to follow the Explorers to a nearby port city, but I lost the track of them afterwards, so I has no idea where exactly they're hiding.
Liko: I wanna come with you, I wanna find her.
Ash: Me too!
Friede: You won't stand a chance against the Explorers without any Pokémon.
Ash: She doesn't need a Pokemon, I can protect her.
Friede: Liko's mom actually hired us.
Ash: What really?
Liko: What?
The rest of the team to berate Friede for once again unintentionally withholding information from her, though they quickly brush it aside to focus on breakfast instead.
Ash: Ooooo, breakfast!
Mollie asks Ash and Liko's help in getting some Potions from a Pokemon Center, and leads them to the Pokémon Center, Mollie hands Liko a list of the preordered items and sends them inside alone without explaining why she's not coming along.
Ash: Uh, I know you don't like talking to people so, I can take the list if you want.
Liko: Yes please.
They encounter Nurse Joy.
Nurse Joy: Oh my, well if it isn't World Monarch Ash Ketchum! What could I do for you today?
Ash: Hi Nurse Joy, me and my friend Liko have a list of preordered items on this list here.
Ash hands the list to Nurse Joy, but Joy gets distracted by the need to treat another girl's Vulpix first. The girl berates herself for causing her partner to get hurt, making Liko think about Sprigatito and the possibility of it getting hurt too, Ash sees this.
Ash: Hey, remember how I told you how I got Pikachu to like me, well, after he defeated the flock of Spearow, he was hurt badly, I rushed him to the Pokemon Center, and the Nurse Joy there really gave me an earful.
A Flashback begins
F.B. Ash: If there's anything I can do, please, just tell me.
F.B. Nurse Joy: You can be more responsible.
F.B. Ash: Huh?
F.B. Nurse Joy: If you want to become a Pokémon trainer, young man, you don't let your Pokémon battle till it's in this condition.
