Everyone at the Academy wait in excitement, Penny told them how the four saved them from the Explorers. Ash and Dot take the field while everyone watches from the stands.

Ash: Say Dot? How bout we give everyone a good show with a double battle!

Dot: A what battle?

Ash: Y'know! A double battle! Where two pokemon from a trainer take the filed at the same time! It'll make us stand out!

Dot: Uh, sure.

Ash sends out Dipplin and his Quaxwell, Dot sends out Tinkatink and her own Quaxwell. The Quaxwells go at it, attacking and dodging. Their rivalry on full display. Dipplin uses Syrup Bomb to slow Tinkatink down, Dot calls for a Slam, but Tinkatink can't attack, she sees both of Ash's Pokemon as a friend! She can't hurt her friends! Dipplin sees this opening and uses Rollout and lands a direct hit.

Dot: Why won't Tinkatink attack?

Liko: I think she doesn't wanna hurt her friends!

Ash: There's nothing personal Tinkatink! We're just having fun!

Dipplin feels bad for Tinkatink, and decides it's best to use some encouragement, and starts to cheer.

Dot: Woah, what's Dipplin doing?

Ash: I think it cheering for Tinkatink!

Nemona: Not just any cheer! Dragon Cheer!

Ash: What?

Nemona: It's a whole new move!

Sure enough, Dipplin starts to shine with a yellow glow, learning Dragin Cheer. calming Tinkatink down and helping her see this battle's just for fun, no matter what they're still friends. Dipplin is about to restart their fight, and Tinkatink jumps up to use Slam, but Dipplin starts to glow and evolves into Hydrapple. Ash pulls out his Rotom Phone and scans his new Pokemon for the Pokedex.

Ash: Who's that Pokemon?

Rotom: Hydrapple, the Apple Hydra Pokémon. A Grass and Dragon type and the evolved form of Dipplin. Seven syrpents live inside an apple made of syrup. The syrpent in the center is the commander. On the rare occasion that their moods align, their true power is unleashed.

Ash: Oh, that is so cool!

Ash and Dot resume their battle, Hydrapple and Tinkatink clash, as does the two Quaxwells, sometimes the two battles merge into one big battle, or divides back into two. Tinkatink sneaks up on Hydrapple and uses Brutal Swing, but Hydrapple uses another new move: Fickle Beam, and hits Tinkatink directly, taking her out. Ash gets so excited by this new move and praises Hydrapple, and it basks in its trainer's attention. But this leaves an opening for Dot's Quaxwell to attack it with a Low Kick, and with Hydrapple taking bits of damge from Tinkatink and using all it;s energy, that hit is enough for it to faint. Ash and Dot recall their Pokemon, leaving the two Quaxwells left on the field.

Dot: Looks like it's just a mirror match!

Ash: Yeah! We'll lets go all out and give everyone a mirror match finale they deserve!

Ash and Dot pull out their Tera Orbs and Terastallize their Quaxwells into Tera Water Types. The crowd goes wild as the two Practicing Pokémon go head to head using every move they know, and dodging with their quick feet and dancing skills. The two are tired and nearly fainted before they charge in a final attack, Dot's Quaxwell using Low Kick, and Ash's Quaxwell uses a new move too: Low Sweep. The two stand as they attacks hit, but Ash's Quaxwell hit first, making Dot's Quaxwell faint is defeat, and making Ash the winner! Dot and Ash recall their Quaxwells and shake hands.
