A storm tackles the Brave Olivine as it continues its voyage, forcing the airship to land until the storm clears. Mollie performs checkups on the Pokemon before they take to the skies again, as she finishes checking up on Ash's Pikachu, Liko enters the room. "Miss Mollie? Hatenna's been feeling off since the storm, I think it's because the storm's pretty similar to the one she saw when we first met."
Mollie nods, "Just let me finish up here, Chansey, can you get Hatenna a towel?"
Chansey hands Hatenna a fluffy towel before handing Pikachu an egg to eat aand using Heal Pulse on him, the move seems to interest Hatenna before she suddenly senses something nearby and runs out of the room. Ash, Liko and Mollie chase after her, Hatenna leading them to a injured white Pokemon that Ash scans with Rotom Phone.
"Tandemaus, the Couple Pokémon. A Normal type. They use their sharp front teeth to bite off and carry various materials to build their nests. They will always be found in pairs, never alone."
"If they're usually in pairs, can't there be another one?" Liko asked.
Mollie nodded, "This could be an emergency, Hatenna probably sensed Taudemaus' feelings. Chansey, take this one to the infirmary while we look for its partner."
The Tandemaus jumps ouf of Chansey's arms and runs off. The trainers follow after it off the ship and into the forest. Arrving at a cave opening with a fallen tree blocking the way, Pikachu and Sprigatito try to push it free to no effect.
"Maybe we should find another way in," Liko suggested, ponting at a narrow opening at the bottom of the blocked opening. "Like there!"
The Tandemaus, Pikachu and Sprigatito dig at the narrow opening to increase its size. Mollie attempts to climb inside, but is unable to fit. "Y'know, Liko and I could fit in there." Ash suggested. "We'll find the other Taundemaus for you, Mollie!"
Mollie hesitates, unsure as to allow two children to do something so dangerous. She nods remembering Ash's strength, "Alright, but be careful."
Ash, Liko and the Tandemaus enter the cave and find the other Tandemaus quickly, handing it back to Mollie. The trainers hear more crying further inside the cave and the Tandemaus wanders deeper inside, "Hatenna, stay out here," Liko ordered, "We'll be right back."
Ash and Liko follow the Tandemaus while Mollie calls out to them to come back. The trainers find two smaller white Pokemon that the Tandemause seens concerned for. Ash scans the smaller Pokemon with his Rotom Phone.
"Maushold, the Family Pokémon and the evolved form of Tandemaus. A Normal type. The two larger ones hunt for necessities while protecting the smaller two."
"So that's the Pokemon we're helping out," Ash concluded, picking up the smaller Pokemon, "Not Tandemaus."
Ash and Liko venture deeper into the cave, knowing they wouldn't be able to exit out the way they came. They reach a dead end being blocked by a large rock, the leader of Maushold suddenly collaspes from exhaustion. The trainers hear a cry from behind them, seeing Hatenna run towards them with a fluffy towel holding Chansey's egg.
"Hatenna!" Liko exclaimed, "You came to help us!"
Hatenna feeds the egg to the Maushold leader, before her hair-tendrals begin to glow in a green light, using Heal Pulse to heal up Pikachu and Sprigatito.
"Hey, you learned Heal Pulse from Chansey!" Ash noticed, "Nice work!"
Hattena, the Maushold leader, Pikachu and Sprigatito work together to break the rock. tehy exit the cave to see the rest of the RVT trying to pry the tree out of the opening. Mollie spots the trainers and rushes over to hug them, "Oh thank Arceus," Mollie let out a sigh of relief, "I was so worried."
Mollie looked down at Hatenna, "Great work out there." Hatenna lets out a happy sound, glad it could help out an old friend and her own trainer.
Everyone gathers back on the Brave Olivine, Hatenna playfully chases the newest members of the Rising Volt Tacklers: The Maushold family around the infrimary to provide stimualtion to the patients as they heal while Ash and Liko watch proudly.
