What If Ash was in Pokemon Horizons?

The Treasure of Eternity

Ash, Liko, Roy, and Dot continue their journey back towards Naranja Academy. Dot drags her feet as the trainers climb up a rather steep hill. "Man, I'm exhausted." she complained.

"But it's fun!" Ash insisted, "Man I have missed traveling like this, only our feet to take us! No planes or cars!"

"Or Pokemon!" Roy added.

"Hey guys, wait up!"

The trainers turn around to see Ann catching up with them. "I just finished my Basic Test. Mind if I walk back to Naranja Academy with you?"

"Of course, Ann!" Liko smiled.

Ann noticed the Kilowattrel and Hattrem beside Liko and Roy, "Woah, did Wattrel and Hattena evolve?"

"Yep." Roy answered.

Terapagos suddenly pops out of Liko's bag, right into Ann's eyesight. "What is THAT?!"

Dot collaspes to the ground before Liko could explain, "I can't go on anymore..."

"Okay, looks like we got some explaining to do and Dot needs to catch her breath." Ash concluded, "How about we take a snack break?"

The trainers sat down and cooked up a quick meal. Liko explains to Ann about how her old pendant turned into Terapagos and how it wants to get to Laqua. "And that's why we're taking the Tera Training course, so we can be strong enough to get to Laqua."

"Wow, you've grown a ton, Liko." Ann remarked. "I'm glad I'm your friend."

"Can we be your friends too?" Roy asked.

Dot shrugged, "I guess another friend would be nice."

Ann smiled, "Of course!"

"So, what are you gonna do after Tera Training is over?" Liko asked.

Ann thought for a moment, "I might take the Gym Challenge and challenge the Paldea League."

"There's a Pokemon League here?!" Ash asked, "Awesome!"

Liko suddenly gets a call from Friede on her Rotom Phone. "Hey Friede, do you need something?"  

"Just asking, did you guys see a pink haze when you encoutnered Lucius' Lapras and Moltres?" Friede asked.

Liko nodded, "Same thing with Arboliva too."

"Alright, just wondering." Friede replied, "Good luck on your Tera Training." With that, Friede ended the call.

Meanwhile, Team Rocket don employee disguises as they sweep the basement of Exceed. "Why are we even doing this again?!" Jessie groaned.

"The boss had gained some intel, said the Explorers use this place to gather data, remember?" James reminded her.

Friede suddenly enters, catching them off-guard. They hide behind an empty display case. "What's the big twerp doing here?!" Meowth whispered.

Friede looked at the empty display case, reading the label "Treasure of Eternity". "It's gone." Friede whispered before noticing the four of them hiding . "Excuse me, do you know where this was taken?"

Friede pulled out his Rotom Phone and showed them a photo of a pink shard. "No sir." James said with a fake voice. "We're just here to clean."

"I figured, thanks though." Friede walked off.

"What was that all about?" Jessie asked.

"I dunno, but we should probably keep an eye out for that pink shard." Meowth concluded.

Back with the trainers, they pack up their gear and continue on their voyage to Naranja Academy. "Leaving Kanto and going to Paldea really made me nervous." Ann admited as they walked.

"I felt the same way when I had come to Indigo Academy," Liko replied, "But, I was able to take a step forward after meeting Floragato."

"I think you have a point!" Ann replied, "Having Dewott and Sandshrew by my side made everything better."

"Hey look, there's the Academy!" Ash pointed.

The trainers looked off into the distance, seeing Naranja Academy. Everyone feels a sense of relief as they've finally made it back.
