What If Ash was in Pokemon Horizons?

Wattrel's High Wind Warning!

Ash, Liko, Roy, and Dot are observing various wild Pokémon for the reports they need to make. Suddenly Team Rocket capture the trainers' Pokemon in a net. Ash facepalmed, "Okay, Pikachu use Thunderbolt.

Pikachu easily sends them flying, "WE'RE BLASTING OFF AGAIN!" "WOBBUFFET!"

James watches as Capsaki's Poke Ball falls from his pocket towards the ground. "Capsakid!" he cried out in worry as he flew further away.

Roy reunites with Fuecoco as he splits off from the others. Capsakid emerges from the bushes holding its now-open Poke Ball. "Oh hey, a Capsakid. I'll can write a report on that." he begins writing notes on his Rotom Phone, not realizing it's the same Capsakid belonging to Team Rocket. Capsakid recognizes him as a trainer James doesn't like and begins to walk off until Fuecoco offers it a Grepa berry that it eates of of hunger, being part of Team Rocket meant money for food was tight. Wattrel tries to attain more berries so Roy can observe more, but Fuecoco handles that duty by fetching berries straight from the tree and grilling them with Flame Charge.

Wattrel tries to reach the berries at the very top of the tree, but struggles to fly against the strong winds. Roy takes a video of Wattrel struggling as a remidner to do more training. Capsakid eventually sees Roy and his Pokemon distracted and runs off, attempting to locate its trainer.

Roy reunites with his friends by the evening to break for dinner. "So, what's everyone been up to?" Dot asked.

"I noticed that Wattrel's not afraid of flying anymore, but it still can't fly against the wind." Roy showed his friends the video he took earlier.

"Maybe you can help Wattrel be more confident." Ash suggested, "When my Noivern was just a Noibat, it couldn't fly. But me and My Pokemon helped it and believed in it and it didn't take long for him to learn."

The group settle into their tents for the night, Roy wakes up in the middle of the night and notices Wattrel isn't in his tent. Roy woke up Fuecoco, "C'mon buddy, we gotta go find Wattrel."

Roy and Fuecoco find Wattrel struggling to climb up a tree, the two of them sing to encourage Wattrel, though the Pokemon doesn't cheer up. A haunting sound suddenly fills the vicinity, Roy and his Pokemon turn around to see a giant grey Pokemon made from bones approaching them. Roy scans it with his Rotom Phone.

"Houndstone, the  Ghost Dog Pokémon and the evolved form of Greavard. A Ghost type, Houndstone spends most of its time sleeping in graveyards. Among all the dog Pokémon, this one is most loyal to its master."

"Hope you aint scared, Hounstone's harmless." Houndstone's trainer reveals herself, a woman woman with white hair, mostly black and gold attire and holding a microphone. "Couldn't help but see you singin' to your Wattrel, made me wanna jump in."

The trainer steps forward and sings a rap to Wattrel, leaving Roy and Fuecoco in awe. He hears a rustling in the nearby bushes and sees Capsakid moving around, still searching for James. "Capsakid usually likes sunlight," Roy recalled, "So why's this one moving around at night?"

"Must be running from the Otherworldly." The trainer remarked, "It's a scary Pokemon that's not from this world. Lives right in these woods and I'm tryna find it."

"Woah, I hope I can find it too!" Roy said before recording Capsakid to document rare Capsakid behavior. The trainer watched with a smirk, "You and Fuecoco got potential, y'all better keep at it."

In the morning, Ash, Liko and Dot have gathered for breakfast. Roy emerges from the forest, "Guys, there's a rare Pokemon in this forest! A trainer said it's called the OtherWorldly!"

"You sure that trainer was honest?" Dot asked.

Roy glared, "I have proof! Look!" Roy pulled out his Rotom Phone to show them the video, but they're all met with a black screen.

"Roy, are you sure you weren't dreaming?" Liko asked.

"No!" Roy replied, "It was real, I swear!"

Ash thought for a moment, "I mean, this stuff's happened to me before. So, I believe you, Roy."

Roy smiled, "Thanks Ash."

"I'm pretty much done with my report, so I can tag along with you, Roy." Ash offered, "Maybe we can find the Otherworldly."

Ash and Roy spilt off from the others, Wattrel continues to struggle flying against the strong wind gusts. Fuecoco offers it a berry he collected, only for Wattrel to attack it out of jealousy. "Hey guys, break it up!" Roy scolded.

Wattrel huffs and flies off, "I better go find it." Roy told Ash.

"I'll help you." Ash offered.

The boys find Capsakid stuck on a cliff, "That's the Capsakid I was studying!" Roy exclaimed, "I gotta help it!"

Roy begins to walk on a narrow cliffside path, turning back to Ash, Pikachu and Fuecoco, "You guys better stay back, I don't want anyone else falling."

Roy continues on the path below, the cliff begins to crumble. Fuecoco lets out a large cry in alarm. "Wattrel, we could really use your help!" Ash called out into the wilderness.

Roy manages to get stable footing for long enough to reach Capsakid. The Pokemon steps back, not wanting to work with a Twerp. Roy gets closer and Capsakid fires a Bullet Seed into Roy's mouth.

"Mm!" Roy exclaimed, "That was good, can I have another?"

Capsakid lets out a surprised cry, but realizes it'll be stuck on that cliff longer than it wants to. So it trusts Roy, the trainer can't climb back up the cliff while holding Capsakid.

"Hold on, Roy!" Ash exclaimed, "I'll find help!"

Before Ash can leave, Liko and Dot arrive on the scene, "How'd you find us?" Ash asked.

"Hattena felt that somethign was wrong and led us here." Liko explained.

"What's even going on here?" Dot asked.

"Roy's trying to save a Capsakid, but he can't climb back up." Ash explained, "Wattrel could help if it was here."

"Isn't that Wattrel?" Dot asked, pointing above them.

The trainers look where Dot was pointing, seeing Wattrel flying towards Roy, fighting through struggles and fear. Wattrel grabs Capsakid and brings it to safety, Capsakid runs off as soon as it gets the chance.

Roy starts climbing back up the cliff, only for the wind to blow him off the cliff. Wattrel immediately dives down to save him and suddenly begins to glow, growing in size to catch Roy in time and lands by Roy's friends.

"Wattrel, you evolved!" Roy scanned his new Pokemon with his Rotom Phone. "Kilowattrel, the Frigatebird Pokémon and the evolved form of Wattrel. An Electric and Flying type. It inflates its float sac to amplify its electricity. By riding the wind, it can fly over 430 miles in a day."

"Capsakid's long gone." Dot brought up, "Looks like your report's gonna go unfinished."

Roy smirked, "That's okay, I wanna do a report on the Otherworldly!"

Meanwhile, in a deeper part of the forest, Capsakid finds a rather large tree, hearing roars in the distance and seeing three trainers running off.

"There you are!"

Capsakid turned around to see James with the rest of Team Rocket standing there. James picks up Capsakid and hugs it.

Jessie rolled her eyes, "Finally, we've been looking all over."

"Where are we, anyhow?" Meowth asked, looking at thr large tree.

The team hear a loud angry roar behind them, they turn around to see a giant pair of red glowing eyes, the figure punches Team Rocket into the sky.

"WE'RE BLASTING OFF AGAIN!" 

"WOBBUFFET!"
