Ash arrives at the bus stop on Route 22 donning his Indigo Academy uniform. Knowing he's in the rght place as he sees three girls wearing similar uniforms. He passes two girls chatting with each other and sits next to another girl who seems to be keeping to herself.

"I don't think I've seen you around," Ash began talking, "Did you come here from a different region?"

"Oh!" The girl jumped, "Uh, yeah I'm from the Paldea region."

"Woah, I've never been there." Ash seemed interested.

The girl smiled, "Yeah, it's my first time outside of Paldea, I'm hoping I can make some friends at school." The girl immediately looked at the floor in embarrassment to opening up that quickly to a stranger.

"Well, you just did!" Ash declared, "I'm Ash Ketchum from Pallet Town, and this is my partner Pikachu!"

"Pika!" Pikachu nodded.

Ash offers the girl his hand, she hesitates before smiling and shaking it shyly. "I'm Liko," she introduced herself while avoiding eye-contact.

The bus arrives and the four kids get on, Ash sits next to Liko and points out all the wild Pokemon they spot on the way to Indigo Academy.

"Wow, you seem to really like Pokemon." Liko complemented.

"Yep, it's my goal to befriend every one of them!" Ash explained. "That way I'll be a Pokemon Master!"

"Every single one?" Liko asked, "That's a lot."

"I know, but I'm gonna keep going until I do it!" Ash exclaimed.

"You're really passionate." Liko admitted, looking down at the floor, "I don't have a dream like that."

"Don't worry, you'll figure it out someday!" Ash reassured, "My friends always find out what they wanna do!"

Liko perks up as she overhears the two girls from the bus stop talking about Nidothing. "Aw, I love Nidothing." She confided in Ash, "I'd go over and talk to them, but I'll just embarrass myself."

"Nidothing?" Ash asked.

Liko gapsed loudly, before covering her mouth to avoid being heard. "You don't know who Nidothing is?!"

"No, should I?" Ash asked once more.

"Next time she's having a stream, I'll show you." LIko explained.

"Well, why not give me your phone number so you can call me when that day happens." Ash suggested.

The kids trade Rotom Phones, type their phone numbers into the devices in their hands, then hand the respective phones back to their owner. The bus then arrives at The Indigo Academy, Ash and Liko walk together before an employee stands in front of Ash.

"Excuse me, are you Ash Ketchum?" the employee asked.

"Yeah, that's me." Ash answered.

"The Director has a room set up just for you, please come with me." The employe said.

The employee begins leading Ash away, "I guess I'll catch up with you later Liko!" Ash said before walking out of sight.

"Okay, bye!" Liko shouted back before flinching at the volume of her voice and rushing off to find her dorm.

The employee leads Ash to a door which opens to reveal an ordinary dorm room, but with one bed instead of the two expected in the usual dorms. "The Academy didn't wish for our VIP to share a room with someone." the employee explained."

"Whoa!" Ash beamed.

"I'll leave you to it." the employee left the room.

Ash and Pikachu lie on the bed, settling into the comfort of the mattress. "I could get used to this..." Ash whispered before dozing off.
