Liko and Roy engage in a double battle against Friede and Ash. Not too long into the battle, Fuecoco slips on a purple liquid on the battlefield. "Huh, where'd that come from?" Friede mused.
Cap spots a shadow fleeing the scene from the corner of his eye, but he pays it no mind. Ash and Roy investigate the ship, finding more traces of the purple liquid whilst Liko follows a clinking sound. The three trainers eventually find a Pokemon made of purple ooze living in a tea pot.
"What Pokemon is that?" Ash exclaimed as he pulled out his Rotom Phone, "Polteageist, the Black Tea Pokémon and the evolved form of Sinistea. A Ghost type. It makes its home in an antique teapot. Those who have drunk the tea that its body is made of have called it an acquired taste."
The group hears a commotion from the kitchen and head over there, Polteageist, following behind the trainers. They find Dot slurping juice right out of Shuckle's shell.
"Dot, what are you doing?!" Liko exclaimed before prying Shuckle away from her.
Dot groaned, "There's no Shuckle Juice left in the fridge! And Shuckle Juice is the best!"
Polteageist gasps in horror as Shuckle pours some cups of juice from its shell to please Dot. The two Pokemon eye each other with a glare before running out of the room together.
Ash and Liko settle into their shared room for the night, deciding to investigate more on Polteageist tomorrow. Before they can go to sleep, Roy bursts into the room. "You guys gotta see this! Dot's Quaxly is sneaking off somewhere?"
"What are you talking about?" Ash asked.
"I'm serious!" Roy insisted, "I wanna see where where he's going!"
Ash, Liko and Roy follow Dot's Quaxly into the Hold, finding all of the Brave Olivine's Pokemon surronded in a circle cheering on the two Pokemon in the center: Polteageist and Shuckle. Liko notices Terapagos, Sprigatito and Hatenna are there too. Ash sees Pikachu, his own Quaxly and Applin cheering on Shuckle. Roy spots Fuecoco and Wattrel cheering on Polteageist.
Shuckle makes the first move with Rollout, which is a direct hit. The attack causes Polteageist to drop its tea cap and makes its tea spill out. Making Ash and Roy realize that's how the purple liquid got all over the Brave Olivine. Shuckle attempts another Rollout that Polteageist dodges due to Cap's cheering. Shuckle ends up crashing into the Berry crates as Polteageist takes in all the cheering and respect it has gained from its Pokemon peers. Polteageist uses Teatime to make every Pokemon some tea while Shuckle shoots Berriers out of its shell as a little snack to go with Polteageist's tea.
Ash and Liko smile at the scene before beginning to head back up, "Where you guys going?" Roy asked, "Don't ya wanna join in? It looked really cool!"
"I like Pokemon battles as much as the next guy, but it looks like the Pokemon wanna have their own time." Ash explained.
"I mean, it's not everyday Pokemon on an airship can battle without a trainer." Liko added on.
Roy sighs before walking upstairs with his friends. The Rising Volt Tacklers gather in the wing deck for breakfast the very next morning. Ash, Liko and Roy notice all the Pokemon are asleep, gathered in one cuddle puddle including Polteageist. "Looks like we got a new member," Mollie commented as she sat down.
Friede chuckles and takes a sip of tea out of a antique cup Diana had on-hand, only to spit the tea out. "Diana, is the tea as old as the cup? Cause that didn't taste right."
The teacup suddenly floats out of Friede's hand and reveals itself to have a face. Liko scans it with her Rotom Phone. "Sinistea, the Black Tea Pokemon. A Ghost type, It absorbs the life-force of those who drink it. It waits patiently, but opportunities are fleeting— it tastes so bad that it gets spat out immediately."
Diana chuckled, "Looks like my little experiment worked."
"What do you mean?" Liko asked.
"I left that teacup out last night to see if Polteageist would create a Sinistea out of it," Diana explained, "And it looks like I was right."
Sinistea floats over to the other Pokemon and lays in the cuddle puddle before falling asleep, creating a cute sight for the trainers onboard.
