🦋Chapter 26: The Time Heist🦋
Tony, Steve, Juliana, Scott, Bruce, Natasha, Clint, Thor, Rhodey, Rocket, Nebula, and I were in one of the conference rooms to discuss our next move. We're slowly getting somewhere. Soon enough, we'll have all the stones and snap them all back. On the holograms, Tony titled the operation: Time Heist - Brainstorm Session
That screen disappeared as the six Infinity Stones took its place on the holograms in front of us. Steve, Tony, and Bruce stood up at the front of the room by the holograms.
"Okay, so the how works." Steve announced. "Now we gotta figure out the when, and the where. Almost everyone in this room has had an encounter with at least one of the six Infinity Stones."
"Well, I'd subtitute the word 'encounter' for 'damn near been killed by one of the six Infinity Stones.'" Tony corrected.
"I agree." I confirmed.
"I haven't. I don't even know what the hell you're all talking about." Scott revealed, looking baffled.
Juliana also looked puzzled as she chimed in. "Neither do I."
I let out a sigh. "I'll explain everything later. But these are pretty powerful stones, put them all together, and well, that's what Thanos used to vanish half of life across the universe."
Juliana grimaced, while Scott stared at me, completely mortified before blurting out. "That's awful."
"Yep." I confirmed.
"Regardless, we only have enough Pym Particles for one round trip each, and these stones have been in a lot of different places throughout history." Bruce mentioned, returning to the matter at hand.
"Our history. So, not a lot of convenient spots to just drop in, yeah?" Tony commented, stepping in.
"So that means we have to pick our targets." I advised.
"Correct." Tony confirmed, giving me a nod.
"So. Let's start with the Aether." Steve suggested before he looked over at Thor, calling out to him. "Thor, what do you know?"
However, we received no response from him. I immediately grew worried. We all turned around to see him sitting in the corner of the room with sunglasses on. I can't tell if he was looking at us or if he was asleep as he wasn't moving at all.
"Is he asleep?" Natasha asked.
"No, no. I'm pretty sure he's dead." Rhodey quipped.
"I can wake him." I offered.
Without waiting for anyone to say a thing, I entered his mind, giving his mind a little shock. Thor let out a gasp as he jumped out of the chair, surprising everyone. Thor ran all the way up to the front of the room.
"I'm up!" He exclaimed.
"Mariana, what did you do?" Steve questioned, turning to look at me, wearing a stern look.
"All I did was give him a little nudge." I mentioned.
Steve gave me a look, not buying it at all. I shrugged. "Okay, I might have given him a little shock."
"A shock?" Steve repeated, sounding baffled. "That doesn't sound little."
Thor stumbled towards the holograms, nearly tripping, but catching himself. He then took off his sunglasses as he turned to face the hologram with information on the Aether that contained the Reality Stone.
"You see? He's fine." I said, motioning towards Thor, who made it to the front room in one piece.
"Where to start? Umm...The Aether, first, is not a stone. Someone's called it a stone before." Thor announced as he looked over at Steve. "It's more of a...an angry sludge, sort of thing. So...Someone's gonna need to amend that, and stop saying that."
