Thea rolled her eyes but nodded as she kissed her father on the cheek before hugging Harper goodbye and bending down to Willow. "You are going to do great today. I can't wait to hear all about it."
"Will you be here when I get home from the pack house?" Willow said sadly.
"I will be right here with a plate of cookies waiting to hear how it all went. And maybe you could make me a picture?" She smiled and she fixed Willow's dress and handed the little girl her school bag.
"Oh with mushrooms and rainbows!" Willow laughed before hugging her older sister and skipping off to her father's car.
Thea just laughed as she ran into the garage. One of the perks of being the more senior level of families was the luxurious lifestyle. Everyone in the pack house had a job. Her dad and Alpha Hanson had a business together...actually several businesses together and as such they were both very well off and Thea and her family were able to have the luxury of living in maybe the biggest house in the community. The Alpha and his family lived at the pack house along quite a few other families. Usually the pack house was home to unmated wolves or single parent families or anyone really who wanted to be there instead of in a home of their own.
Thea waved as her father backed out of the garage and drove off to leave Harper and Willow to school. "Do you want to ride with me today?" She asked Tristan as he ran into the garage after her.
"Yeah, I am not leaving my bike at school again!" He huffed climbing into the passenger seat. One thing about Thea, is that she may have been a girly girl when it came to fashion and makeup, but that didn't mean she drove a girly car. She drove a Ford Ranger in black and it was the one thing she owned that she adored.
"What happened to your bike?" She asked climbing into the driver's seat and setting her tumbler in the middle before backing out of the driveway and taking off in the direction of school.
Satan's home. She hated her school.
"Some idiot leant up against it and knocked it over last week. Scratched the paint up and everything. Bloody nomads." He rolled his eyes. Nomads was the name we gave to humans. Our school was a mixture of magical beings and humans. We blended in quite well with them, so our pack could live in peace. Other packs were isolated as they couldn't get on with humans much.
Thea just rolled her eyes.
"So are you excited about the party tomorrow?" he asked wiggling his eyebrows at his sister.
"No," she scoffed. "I know exactly what will happen. You and your idiot friends will wreck the house and it will take me all week to clean it up." She moaned in frustration. She wasn't a real party animal like most girls her age. She preferred hanging out with her friend in places where she could actually hear them talk.
"Come on, dad has hired a huge marquee for the garden, with waiters and a cleaning crew. Relax would you. It's not everyday you turn eighteen!" he sounded very excited. "Aren't you dying to find your mate? I can't wait to meet my wolf finally and see what powers I have."
"So you are not interested in a mate, you just want to get your wolf?" She quickly looked at him.
"Oi, eyes on the road!" He growled. "And of course I want to meet my mate. I am sick of these high school girls, always hanging off me and wanting to be close to me because of my status within the pack. It will be nice to actually know what love is. But my wolf could have some super awesome abilities too. We can't all click our fingers and make magical things happen."
"Hey," she defended. "No one really knows about that OK, and I have to be careful about what magic I do. Witches are seen as freaking machines in packs...used to help make everyone stronger and protect people. They are practically made to give up their lives to devote themselves to their every packs needs. I have no intention of doing that....so keep your mouth shut!"
