After lunch, Bowie and Rowan had gone back to the office to continue the meeting while Thea promised Kyle, Maverick and Lennon a tour of the grounds. Ned tagged along as he was beyond bored in the meetings. Bowie wasn't happy about Thea wandering away with a group of guys but he couldn't argue. He knew she was safe and if he did argue he would give away his position. So he frowned as she walked away.
"I have to admit that this place is really very nice," Kyle said as they walked around the garden.
"I love it here. It's so peaceful....when the boys aren't playing football and shouting profanities at each other," Thea laughed.
"That's 50% of the fun," Ned chuckled. "What's the point of playing if we can't insult each other while we do."
"I have to agree with Lurch over here," Lennon said gesturing to Ned who stood next to him but reached up a heck of a lot further than Lennon.
Thea's phone continued to buzz. "Who is texting you so much?" Ned asked furrowing his eyebrows. Thea froze. She didn't want to bring attention to the situation. Ned knew about Greyson so if he saw the messages he would blow a gasket. And if he mentioned it to Tristan or Amiah, they would surely confront Greyson. Or worse, tell their parents. And if Bowie got wind of it all -
"It's probably spam," she shrugged.
"Oh, I can fix that. Give it here," Ned smiled and he snatched her phone out of her hand.
"No Ned! It's fine." She said urgently panicking now.
"Honest, if you block the number, they can't -" he stopped walking, making Lennon walk right into his back. "Thea!" he practically shouted.
'Crap!'
'It's time that someone did something about that prick!' Elaia snapped. 'He can't get away with talking to you like that.'
"Thea!!" Ned snapped again.
"Wow, man, chill out," Maverick said standing between Thea and Ned. "What is going on?"
Ned ignored him. "Thea...these are not spam. Who has been sending you th......oh fuck no!" Ned snapped.
Thea was blushing furiously. "It's nothing Ned. Just ignore them like I do." She tried to shrug it off.
"I am not going to ignore these vile messages. It's disgusting. Thea this is not OK!" Ned shook his head. "This is harassment."
"What vile messages?" Kyle asked now also sounding panicked.
Ned, who had never met these guys before could tell that they all cared for his friend. They walked surrounding her in a protective bubble and they all looked at her like she was the most important thing in the world. He knew he was safe with these guys when it came to Thea. Call it his Delta blood or senses but he knew they were trustworthy. So he handed the phone to Kyle while also holding Thea at arm's length so she couldn't reach it herself. Kyle's whole facial expression changed from confusion to understanding, to anger. He looked like he could spit fire. He then passed the phone to Maverick who mirrored his expressions and then handed it to Lennon. By the time they had finished reading all four boys looked ready to kill.
"Who sent you these messages?" Maverick demanded.
Thea wasn't sure what to say. She wasn't sure how to proceed. "It's nothing. Someone I would rather forget."
"Well, he certainly has not forgotten about you," Lennon snapped.
"You don't have his number saved," Maverick pointed out. "How did he get your number?"
"I have no idea," Thea answered honestly. She certainly didn't give him her number so she had to assume he got it from the pack records or else her brother or Amiah.
