The crowd roared in celebration as Thea released Karen from her hold. The girl was clearly spent as she couldn't even move.....or fix the wedgie that had occured to her pants. Thea bent down to her. "Like you could ever beat me, Karen. Silly fool," she smirked, standing up again as Bowie ran up and lifted her up in the air and swung her around in celebration before putting her down and kissing her.
"That was incredible!" He gushed. "The way you anticipated her every move like that...fuck it was insane."
Thea laughed. "Thanks," she smiled. "I had a great teacher," she laughed as Ned high fived her.
"This girl is a machine!" Ned clapped her. "You should see her move and her strength."
"Seems like I might have a challenge when you come to my pack. I may have to get Ned to share his training schedule with me," Maverick laughed as he hugged Thea, causing Bowie to pout.
Greyson was standing with his mouth open. He couldn't believe what he had just witnessed. He had trained with Karen himself a few times as she liked to show off in front of him, and he liked the view of the skimpy outfits that she wore. He knew that she was a good fighter. She was tough and vicious, and when she locked in on a target, they were as good as dead before she even made a move. So how the fuck did Thea, just manage to completely annihalte her? She didn't even break a sweat as she moved. It was as if she was performing a dance the way she stepped and spun around on her toes. She was graceful and she made it look easy. She was a machine.
He wanted to kick the ground or punch a tree. How did he not know all this about her before hand? He had known Thea her whole life and yet he knew nothing about her. He didn't know anyone in the pack could move or fight like that and yet, Ned and Tristan...even Amiah didn't look shocked by the way she moved. What else did he not know about the girl he rejected?
To say he was having serious doubts about what he did would be an understatement. She had already proven to be a good cook, to be smarter than almost everyone and to be good at taking meetings and helping come up with solutions to pack issues. Just as a Luna should. He thought all this time she was weak and he was dead wrong. He thought she would make him look bad as an Alpha and now he was thinking that if he had her by his side that she would make him look great. She might even help him to gain his Alpha title back. Now he was more determined than ever. Before he just wanted her back so everyone would think he changed. Now he needed her. With her by his side she could run the pack, take care of the businesses and the finances and the pack members while he got back to living the life he deserved. She was strong, powerful, kind and loving. Everything he wanted in a mate.
And he was going to have to up his game.
He slipped away as Karen's two friends helped lift her to her feet, taking her weight between the two of them. Thea turned to look at her, half unconscious, covered in dirt and bleeding from her eye and her nose. The girl looked horrific and Thea felt bad. "You might want to take her to the pack doctor to get her ribs looked at. I imagine they hurt a good bit," she frowned. Karen lifted her head, looking like she wanted to say something but she was either too tired or too sore to speak. Maybe both. "I am sorry Karen. I should have gone easy on you. I hope you feel better soon."
There was no venom or maliciousness in her voice. She meant it. Even Karen knew that she wasn't saying it to be spitful. It annoyed Karen even more. She just closed her eyes to ignore Thea. She was going to be licking her wounds for a while.
"She shouldn't have challenged you," her friend shrugged. "She is a fool and her pride got the better of her." She smiled, "I am Gina."
"And I am Rachelle," the other girl waved with her free hand. "Where did you learn to train like that?"
