Thea could feel her eyes growing heavy not long after their little interrigation. She would happily have closed her eyes and allowed herself to drift off to sleep if she didn't feel bad that she was already pushing her weight on Bowie like a sack of potatoes. She felt Bowie chuckle underneath her. "Come on baby, let's you home and into bed." He said, standing up and looking down at her. "Do you want me to carry you?"
Her eyes flew open. "Absolutely not! Thank you, but I can walk." There was no way in hell she was going to let him carry her bridal style from the party. She would never live it down.
Again, he chuckled. Thea and he made their way to Paul and Alpha Hanson, who were waving people off home or into taxi's. "Are you two heading as well?" Paul smiled.
"This one couldn't keep her eyes open," Bowie winked at Thea as she scowled at him.
"Well, we shall see you tomorrow morning for breakfast in the pack house?" Alpha Hanson smiled, holding out his hand for Bowie to shake, which he did.
"Of course, sir. I look forward to it," he turned to Paul. "Goodnight, sir, and thank you again for the night. It was lovely to get to meet the rest of the pack and to get to brag to everyone the fact that this beauty is my mate."
Paul was beaming. "Not at all Ze...eh Bowie. We are delighted to have you, and I am forever thankful that my daughter gets a true chance at happiness. You are always welcome in my home anytime. I look forward to getting to know you and your family better."
"As am I. You will be seeing a lot more of me until graduation," he shook Thea's father's hand as well as Thea hugged Alpha Hanson.
She then hugged her own father. "Goodnight, Daddy," she said, hugging him. "See you in the morning."
"Do you need a taxi home?" Alpha Hanson said, but they both shook their heads, thanking him but suggesting the walk might do them some good. They bid goodnight to a few other party members who were still standing around before heading back to the group.
"Get her home," Thea gestured to where Amiah was curled up by the fire in a little ball much like a cat would.
"We are going to stay here tonight," Tristan said, standing. "I am hoping I can carry her without waking her up." He scooped her up and headed off with her inside.
"Ok," Bowie turned to the rest of his own group. "We shall see you all tomorrow bright and early for breakfast?" There were a murmer of 'yes' in responese. "And don't stay out too late. A hangover will be no excuse for missing training in the morning. Remember Ned's father kindly let us train with this pack, and we will have a few sparing matches as well so everyone get plenty of rest."
Bowie took Thea's hand, and the pair of them headed off walking home. It was only a 20-minute walk, and Thea had done it many times before. It may have been the alochol, but she was feeling particularly giddy as she took off both her shoes and began to walk barefoot down the driveway of the packhouse.
"Are your feet made of leather?" Bowie asked, shocked. "Doesn't that hurt?"
She began to dance around him as she hummed and smiled. "Not at all. I used to do this all the time."
"You would make a good wood nymph," he chuckled. "So are you going to be watching me train tomorrow to see what your man is made of." He flashed his muscles.
"Watching?" She raised her eyebrows. "You underestimate me, my good sir. I shall be joining in with the training."
Bowie had to admit he was impressed. "You will be?"
"Of course! Monday mornings is usually the women's time to train, so Mr Morris (Ned's father) asked if we wouldn't mind sharing the field with you. So you will be training with us. I hope you don't mind?"
