Sparring

"That is what you wear to train?" Bowie gasped as Thea stood in the doorway of his guest bedroom wearing a pair of black sports shorts and a black sports bra with purple and pink design on it. This was usually what she wore.

"Yes?" She asked a little concerned now as she looked at her outfit. "Trust me, all the girls will be wearing something similar."

"I don't care about the rest of the girls. I care about my girl. And I can tell you now that you will have the guys drooling over you," he huffed, pulling on his own t-shirt and slipping on his trainers.

"Well, they can drool all they want," she shrugged, stepping in front of him and reaching up on her tiptoes. "I am all yours, and if anyone dares touch, I will break their fingers."

"That's my girl," he winked and smacked her ass as they headed off downstairs. But as they walked, she conjured a zip-up top to put on over her sports bra. At least until she warmed up a little on the field.

It was only 5.45am, but as training started in the pack training fields as 6am sharp, they needed to get a move on. Thea insisted on driving and took Bowie, Rowan, Maverick, and Kyle. She used to run to the packhouse and run home, but Ned and his father usually did pretty hardcore training sessions, and she found that she could barely lift her arms afterwards, never mind running home. As per usual, she was the first one to arrive, bar Ned and his father.  "Morning Mr Morris, morning Ned," she called as she set her water bottle down and began to stretch.

"Morning," both men called back and continued setting cones into rings and some equipment as everyone else began to arrive.

At exactly 6am sharp, Mr Morris clapped his hands together. "Good morning, everyone. I hope you are all well rested and not feeling the effects of last night too much. As you can see, we have some guests here this morning, ladies. Some of the guys from Zeta Bowie's pack have asked to train with us, and when word got out, some of our own men asked to join. So I thought this would be a good opportunity to show the men what you women are made of. What do you think?" The girls, Thea included, began to clap and hollar. "I thought so," Mr Morris chuckled. "I know a few of you have been stretching, so let's warm up with three laps of the field, which shouldn't take more than 10 minutes, and then we will do some reps. Let's go!"

Bowie (and almost every guy there) was surprised to learn that the girls were pushed just as hard as the guys, and Thea could easily outrun almost everyone there. They did a 45-minute HIIT class and a few combat exercises to boot. Then, it was 30 minutes of boxing moves, and 30 minutes of strength training followed another three laps of the field.

Then it was time for sparing, a part that Thea loved. "Alright, everyone, you have all done well today. It's been great fun for the ladies to show the men how it's done. You will all definitely feel that tomorrow. But now we thought we would have a little fun. This is how we finish every session, isn't that right, ladies?"

"Yip," they all called.

"Usually, we have a little competition, but since we have guests we thought today, we would just ask volunteers who would like to challenge each other to come forward. Sound ok?" Mr Morris asked, and another round of 'yes' was the answer. "Great! Who wants to go first?"

First up were two guys from Cresent Moon pack who circled each other slowly after shaking hands. Thea enjoyed watching these sparing matches. She never really got to perform any proper ones, the girls tend to only spar with their friends and Amiah didn't enjoy it, unless she and Tristan were messing around but she had seen more than her fair share to get the idea of how it works. Basically, the men would try to out tackle the other. The idea would be to pin your opponent to the ground where Mr Morris would count to five, and if you managed to keep your opponent on the ground, then you win. If they move or manage to get away from you, then you keep going.
