With the meeting wrapped up and all business now dealt with, it was time for the BBQ with the pack members. Thea was hoping that tonight's would go a little bit better than last night's meet and greet.
It was also a night of celebrating as Tristan would be named as the future Alpha, and Bowie would be introducing Thea as his queen and letting everyone in her pack know that he was off the market. There would be an official ceremony at a later date, but that was for when they had mated, and she was accepting her Luna role. For werewolves, it was a bit like a marriage ceremony. They would bind themselves to each other and declare their love in front of family and friends and their packs. There were usually vows and ring exchanges as well to cement the bond.
She was nervous knowing that most of the pack probably didn't even know what she looked like. They knew her father and Tristan but not really her. It sounded silly but she didn't think anyone would care that she was leaving the pack. No one was particularly nasty, except a few girls in school or the pack house who thought they were someone (like Karen). But she knew they were all in shock after learning that she was mated to the King. But still, she showered, shaved, and used a little magic to tan her skin and give her hair a curly blow dry. After that, she used it again to apply her makeup and create the perfect outfit. Nothing flashy, but she did wear a sundress and sandals.
Amiah had come over to help her get ready. Not that she needed it. Amiah still didn't know about her witchcraft, and so she had to be careful and make it look like she was doing it all by hand.
"Are you excited?" She smiled as Thea straightened her long blonde hair for her.
"A little nervous actually," Thea bit her lip.
"Why the crap are you nervous?" Amiah gasped. "Doll, he adores you. Can't keep his eyes off you and practically drools when he's with you."
Thea giggled. He had the same effect on her. "I am sure everyone will be surprised. Most will think he can do better. And wait to the girls from school find out. I guarantee that Karen tries it get his attention all night."
"Karen is a bitch and I will be happy to tell her as such," Amiah pouted. In her eyes Thea was the best of the bunch and she knew how lucky Zeta Bowie was. She only wished she could convince Thea.
"No, no fighting tonight. I had enough of that last night." Thea chuckled checking her eye in the mirror. Makeup had covered over the yellow bruise and her lipstick hid her burst lip which was healing nicely.
"I'm sorry again for my brother and -"
Thea smacked her hand over her best friends mouth. "You have nothing to apologise for. You can't help who you are related to."
Amiah smiled. She really did have the best, best friend. "Still. He's an idiot!"
Thea just winked and turned back to the mirror. "Ok I'm done. What do you think?" She could already tell from the way Amiah was playing with her hair that she liked it but Amiah smiled and posed as both girls giggled.
Thea had just finished applying her jewellery when there was a knock on her bedroom door. "Alright you two have been in there long enough," Tristan burst into the room. "A certain tall, blonde and handsome Zeta King is downstairs waiting on you Thea."
She blushed at the mere thought as her stomach did a few flips.
'Mate is waiting!' Elaia sung. 'We should go to him. We deserve to have some fun!'
'That we do,' Thea smiled as she grabbed her keys and bag and headed downstairs.
She could smell his wonderful, mouthwatering scent from the top of the stairs. It was divine! He had his back to her as she walked downstairs, getting more excited with every step she took. Her skin was pricking with goosebumps from the zing she felt through her whole body. She still couldn't believe this guy was all hers. When she reached the last step in the stairs, he slowly turned as his eyes caught hers and his face lit up. She couldn't help but smile back at him. He was beaming.
