Greyson looked lost. "Why is no one moving? I said arrest him!"

Still no one moved. Actually several members of the visiting pack laughed. It was odd. Greyson was losing it, that much was clear to everyone. But why on earth would be stoop to this level. An allegation like this? Very stupid.

"You see, the reason everyone knows that you are a lying little asshole is because most of them know that I would never, ever make plans to try to kill the Zeta." He gently pushed Thea into Paul's arms and walked slowly around in the little group. "And do you know the reason how they know that I wouldn't?" He leant over to Greyson, who looked a little scared. "No? And I thought you were meant to be smart." he laughed. "The reason is because, this man," he pointed to Rowan, "is not the Zeta." There were a few gasps as everyone waited with bated breath for him to continue. "No, this is not Zeta Bowie folks. I am sorry to have tricked you, but it was the only way." You could actually see the light go off in Tristan and Alpha Hanson's minds. "This man is actually my Beta, Rowan Peters."

There were a few more shocked faces as realisation dawned on them. Amiah was beaming from ear to ear.

"Yes, I am Zeta Bowie," he held his hands up. "I am the one responsible for the running of all packs."

"You are the Zeta?" Elysie asked, smiling.

"Yes, ma'am," he bowed. "I am sorry for deceiving you, but I find that the best way to see how packs are really run is to pretend to be just a member of the entourage. My Beta has been playing the role of the Zeta so well that it allows me to see things I probably wouldn't see otherwise. And learn things I would never be shown. Packs always put on a big production when I visit. Parties, tours, and short meetings praying I don't see their flaws. It means I do not get to see how they are really run." He turned to Alpha Hanson. "I am sorry for lying.

But Alpha Hanson smiled. "Not at all, Zeta. We are proud of our pack, and we were unaware of the huge issue we had until you visited, so I really should be thanking you for helping me see the truth."

Bowie nodded. "Doesn't make it any easier, knowing that your son is the one behind it."

Hanson sighed. "No, it doesn't."

Greyson had finally found his voice. "So this whole time you have been lying to us all about who you really are? Making us believe that some lowly Beta was actually the king of all Alpha's.....and everyone else seems to be OK with this?" He laughed. "It's bat shit crazy. Who does that? No matter what your reasons are, it's wrong. You had no right to lie to us. No right to treat us that way. My pack and I are outraged, and we will be speaking to the council about this."

"No need," Bowie shrugged. "It was their suggestion for me to do it. I thought it was genius, so I did." He turned to everyone else. "And I am so glad I got the opportunity to meet you all and see how the pack runs for myself. And of course," he put his hand out to Thea, who took it nervously and joined him in the middle. "I got to meet my queen, so I am thrilled."

"Wait, wait, wait...." Greyson said, now pacing. "She is your mate? She can't be. She is mated to me."

"We rejected each other... Remember?" Thea said smugly.

"That was only a couple of months ago. How could you move on so quickly?" Greyson snapped. "He has done something to her. Threatened her or something. She is MY mate."

Thea laughed. "You didn't want me. You told me that I wasn't good enough for you -"

"That was before I found out that you were mated to the Zeta. But, well, I mean, if you are good enough for him then... I hereby withdraw my rejection." He nodded and smiled.
