Thea took a deep breath. She had been standing now for about 5 minutes, watching as the hall filled with pack member all of whom were whispering to each other and looking around. Bowie had asked everyone to be in attendance this evening after dinner as he wanted to make an announcement. No one knew what exactly he might be announcing, but there was an excitement at the prospects.

"And there she is," Rowan whispered from where he stood next to Thea, both peeking through the door which was open only a jar but enough to spot everyone.

"Who exactly?" Thea asked looking between him and the room.

"Amber Throe of course," Rowan said. "Standing right in front of the platform grinning from ear to ear and clasping her hands together almost swaying right and left in a sort of giddy dance." Thea followed his gaze and his finger to where he was pointing. Amber was a very beautiful woman. She was only slightly shorter than Thea but skinnier as Thea had curves. Amber also was very fortunate that she was blessed with quite a bit more....filling than Thea. Her chiselled cheekbones and arched eyebrows she reminded Thea of a young Denise Richards. She was wearing a simple light purple skintight dress that showed off her ample cleavage as well her legs and her entire back.

Thea frowned looking upon the girl feeling very inadequate in her own outfit. She was wearing a simple fawn pair of tailored shorts and a crisp white shirt, but she had tried to look her best. Her hair was curled slightly, and she spent extra time on her makeup. She didn't feel she could live up to Amber's beauty. "She is gorgeous!" She exclaimed a slight frown on her face.

"She is pure evil," Rowan growled. "I don't think she has ever said a nice thing about anyone but Dylan and her family simply for the fact that she thinks they will someday be her family. She is one of the meanest, cruellest girls I have ever had the misfortune to meet." He looked towards Thea.  "And she will make your life hell if she gets the chance. But I promise that I will not let that happen." Thea smiled at him. "You are like a sister to me and I wouldn't let anything come between you and Bowie." He had a look in his eyes that told Thea that he was being very serious. He truly cared for her like family, and she knew that she adored him like a second brother.

"She is going to hate me," Thea frowned. She had been here for no more than a few hours, and yet she was going to make an enemy before the night was out. All because she was falling in lo- well she was mated to the man of Amber's dreams.

"She hates everyone," Rowan pointed out. "Trust me, it doesn't make you special." He chuckled. "In fact it basically means you are one of the pack." The room was now pretty much filled and Thea turned to see Bowie calling for silence. She bit her lip. "Don't worry, she won't get near you."

Maverick and Dylan were now standing behind them with Maura as Thea sighed. "I just don't want to upset anyone. I mean I am the newbie coming in and basically destroying her dreams. I feel really bad."

Dylan smiled at this. She knew from the first moment she met Thea that she was perfect for Bowie. Now after hearing the girl worry about a potential rival, she was sure that Thea was perfect for the pack too. She loved Amber but the girl would have been a horrible Luna and an even worse queen. She was always there for Dylan but she had a mean streak. She had always hated Presley, jealous of her beauty. Amber had a short fuse with some people and although Dylan was always there to rein her in, she knew that her best friend was going to throw a fit.

Maura too knew that Amber was not going to remain silent when she heard the news. She had guards on standby scattered around the room just to be safe. She knew Thea could handle herself, but she knew Amber was just like her mother...ruthless and conniving. She our up with her simply because she was her daughters best friend. But really, she didn't like Amber or the influence she had on Dylan.
