CHAPTER 76 : PROUD GIRLFRIEND

I was surprised to receive a call from Taylor late at night and was wondering what was up.

This is the first time he called me so I was a little nervous

Taylor: hey Mon! Change of plans! Let's go to the beach tomorrow instead
You haven't been to newburyport yet right?

M: oh the beach sounds great! I haven't been to the beach yet since I came here!
That's awesome!
I'm so excited!

Taylor: great! Dm me your address i'll pick u up tomorrow morning around 8ish

M: thanks Tay! See u!

(I decided not to tell Sam about the change of plans because I know she will be making a fuss again and I didn't have anything else to console her with right now

She would also be preoccupied the entire day tomorrow so she wouldn't notice it when i'm gone earlier than anticipated!

I'll just tell her when I come back. She'll understand right? Yeah it's not a big deal!

I quickly tried to locate a swimwear I can use for tomorrow but found none.
I realized that other than my everyday clothes, I don't really have anything else

Obviously since I came here for health reasons and studies, i didn't really think i'd need one

Seeing that I was sick too i'm sure my parents didn't think of bringing anything that wasn't necessary

It's too late to buy one now and for me to do that, I need Sam to take me to the mall and well it won't really be a secret anymore will it?

I decided to do the next best thing and took a leap of faith to call Laura)

M: Lor, i'm sorry to bother u
Are u busy?

L: not really. What's up Mon?

M: well the thing is, I was told that we will be going to the beach tomorrow and well it's embarrassing to say this but I have nothing to wear.
Do u have a spare I could borrow?

L: u mean a bikini?

M: well anything really.
I don't have any swimwear handy right now

L: well that's new lol
haha no worries Mon I got you!

M: thanks so much Lor! I owe u one!

L: you're not the only one who's going to owe me hahaha

M: ha? What was that?

L: nothing Mon! See u tomorrow :)

(I packed extremely light!
I prepared a pair of shorts, a hat and a white camisole with me.
Of course I had to show Sam that I was preparing the shirt I promised to wear so I made sure to put it where she could see it.

I prepared some sunscreen, packed my earphones, power bank, cash and was done with my essentials

I hid my bag at the bottom of the bed and waited for Sam to come out of the bathroom so we could sleep)

The next day, I woke up to Sam's kiss.
It was light and quick, sweet and endearing.

I'll miss you!
I'm sorry if I can't keep u company today but let me know if you get bored ok? I'll come get u!

M: don't worry i'll be fine!
Don't skip your meals ok?

S: hmm... U too! Love u!
