We just managed to finish the project and was talking about lunch when Sam called
I wanted to talk to her in private but Lor didn't let me leave so I had no choice but to answer the call with everybody staring bullets at me
S: Where are u?
M: haha missing me already?
(I made sure to talk in Thai so they wouldn't understand and that earned me a glare from everybody)
S: u know I always do.
so imagine my reaction when I went home early to surprise you for a lunch date,
Only to find out that you're not at home
(My expression changed so abruptly that i'm sure everybody noticed
They don't understand but I'm sure everybody knew something was wrong.
I was never really good at hiding my expressions and by the look of curiosity and concern I was getting from everyone, i'm sure i'm failing to pretend that everything's ok
I tried to get as far away as possible but even then I was still at arms length. they refused to let me go and I felt panicked)
M: uhmmm about that Sam...
Actually there was a sudden change of plans and we decided to meet earlier instead
S: and u learned about this when?
M: uhm last night?
S: and u decided to hide it from me because?
M: uhmmm... You won't like where we're going
S: where are u?
M: newburyport
S: Im coming
She then quickly hung up without letting me speak and that made me so nervous.
There was something about Sam's mood that made me feel uneasy.
I was in for a rough day! I'm sure of it!
I was already stressing thinking about how I can make it up to her when I got home but now everything just became much worse! I didn't even enough time to prepare for my excuses!
L: Mon that was cheating!!
We didn't understand a thing!
M: so uhmmm I didn't really tell her where we're going today and uhmmm I told u she was kinda clingy right?
L: uh-huh and?
M: well she's coming
B: yeaaaaah! That's awesome! This day couldn't get any better!!!
D: yeah Mon we'd love to meet her! One more hottie never hurt!
M: well uhmmm please bear with her. She's not really the easiest to deal with
T: we're used to hot girls Mon
M: what has that got to do with anything?
T: all hot girls we know are well to put it simply are bitchy hahahha
M: hey!! Sam's nice, she's just well uhmmm... Hmmmm... Hard to get to know?
B: why do I feel like you were trying so hard to come up with that excuse Mon?
M: hmmm... I Just don't want you guys to think badly of her.
Sam is the nicest person I know but she just chooses who to show it to I guess
D: Mon, relax! We did say that we're used to hot women right?
We've dated a lot of them so we get the drill plus you're an exception too Mon 😋
M: hahaha! So that's your way of saying i'm hot huh?
