"So basically, a cyber clone of Harumi, had this weird sexual obsession with Lloyd..." Morro started to say.
"It wasn't sexual!" Lloyd exclaimed heavily embarrassed.
"Dude, she was literally flirting with you." Harumi said
"She was trying to kill me!" Lloyd argued
"And so did your friends' girlfriends, so don't even pull that excuse, honey." Harumi pointed out
"But there is still one thing I don't understand though..." Morro said
"Hm?" Lloyd said as he stuffed a pizza slice in his mouth.
"Why did you stay?" Morro asked
"What?" Lloyd asked looking at Morro confused as bits of pepperoni fell from his mouth.
"You could have gone back to Ninjago, but you stayed here. With us. Two people who tried to kill you and took their revenge on you. Why?" Morro asked
Lloyd paused and swallowed his food.
"You're my friends." Lloyd said just as confused as Morro was.
"Can you like elaborate on that?" Morro asked hesitantly
"Every time I've seen dead people in a realm where people are alive, there are consequences. I'm not going leave the afterlife of my own choice. If I do leave the afterlife, I rather have it be someone else's fault than my own. " Lloyd explained
"And after that?" Harumi asked
"Can you elaborate further?" Lloyd asked
Honestly, how were all of them so bad at communicating their feelings and opinions!
"Well, hypothetically if you get resurrected to save the world, what would you do for the rest of your life? You are legally dead after all. Surely, any legal documents that you had when you were alive aren't valid anymore, right?" Harumi pointed out
"I'm sure there is a way to work around it. I mean, my dad and uncle are probably thousands of years old!" Lloyd exclaimed
"I wonder if you would age abnormally as well."
"Dude, already did. Magic tea remember?"
Morro shook his head.
"No. I meant like without the tea.We know certain things about your family. What if you are secretly over a hundred years old, but you can pass as a teenager." Morro explained
"Say the person who could probably be middle aged if they were alive." Lloyd pointed out
"Year of Death should not affect relationship opportunities in the afterlife. I mean, my team and I died last century and we certainly don't bring our deaths up." Morro argued
"You don't know how your friends died?" Lloyd asked
"Says the person who got crushed by a door but won't reveal it to his primary friend group." Morro pointed out
Harumi laughed at them. "Thank goodness, I don't have to deal with multiple friend groups." Harumi exclaimed with relief.
"Speaking of friends, how are yours doing?" Lloyd asked
Morro shrugged. "My ghost family is fine, I suppose. I mean they are enjoying their afterlives, in their own ways. I mean we have full ownership of our own souls now. The distance doesn't bother us, we spent so much time together that separation is good for us. Yours?"
"My childhood friends now live in an apartment together along with a girl who is dating one of them. They showed me around the place. They said there would always be a fourth room for me."
Morro gasped dramatically. "Do Harumi and I have to worry about you being stolen away from us?"
Lloyd chuckled and played along. "Excuse me?"
" I don't like others taking what I believe is mine. I'm sure you have noticed that pattern while I was still a villain. It's a part of my tragic backstory, obviously." Morro pointed out
"And as our friend, you clearly applicable to this statement." Harumi pointed out
"We're friends now?" Lloyd asked
"Uh, no offense but I thought that was already established." Morro said looking at both of them incredibly confused
"Breezy, we did not get along that well before. We only acted somewhat civilly for you. We love you." Lloyd said
"You love me?" Morro exclaimed
"I do." Lloyd admitted
"Why?"
"I think that people can respect each other, regardless of their relationship. Surely, a hero's motivation is a reflection of a villain ambition. Most children swear loyalty to their parents, and most parents will sacrifice for them. I have never once encountered someone that I hated. Disliked, yes. But never hated. I don't know how you are able to do it." Lloyd explained
There was an unspoken silence at the table. Sensing the awkwardness, Harumi briefly excused herself to call someone, apparently.
