. CHAPTER FOUR
🖤🖤🖤

elaine stood in front of the huge school building with a frown as she nervously fumbled with the rings on her fingers.

she was not ready.

she knew that matt remembered all of it from the party because he was sober. elaine on the other hand was drunk as shit and got that payback on the next day when she vomited her guts out on vera's toilet. and even tho she was so drunk, she still remembered everything.

of course.

but thanks to vera and cinzia, she managed to forget it for the weekend. because the next morning after elaine felt a bit better, vera called cinzia and told her about everything that happened, because the three of them don't have any secrets from another, and after that the black haired girl picked the two up and they spent the whole day together with eating breakfast at a coffee, going shopping, going by sunset to the beach with mcdonald's and eventually having a sleepover.

that weekend was sadly over as elaine stood now by her locker on a monday morning with a terrible headache at the lack of sleep she got.

when she suddenly felt a pair of eyes on her, she didn't even need to look to now that the brunette boy from the side of her eye was matt, marching right towards her. she tried to hide the fact that her body automatically went into a nervous state at the thought of simply looking at him.

what was i even supposed to say?

matt walked around her frame, stopping on the left side of her before he grabbed onto the lock attached to his locker, fumbling around with it for a few seconds before he abruptly stopped and his blue eyes shot upwards to meet the other pair of blue eyes watching him.

"what are you looking at?"

and there it was. the utter disgust lingering in his voice, which went back to the arrogance that once roamed his tongue before the party.

in that very moment, elaine realized it would never be different between the two of them. and she certainly realized, that she didn't wanted it to be ever different because she simply couldn't stand the fact that she'd have to look more than a second at his stupid face.

"your goofy outfit." elaine responds back, showing the same tone he used with her while she focused back onto her own thing.

"we both know that's a lie."

he was right.

as much as elaine hates him, she had to admit that his outfits where really good. he was currently wearing a long sleeved black sweatshirt which was rolled up to the edge of his elbows, showing the tattoos on one side of his arm. black jeans which suited him perfectly as it wasn't too tight but neither too baggy. white air forces and his typical silver chain dangling down from his neck.

elaine noticed his eyes catching her, shamelessly checking his outfit out which made her pull her gaze away and grab onto her english book instead, for her next lesson. she stuffed it under her arm before she grabbed onto the lip balm laying to the far right corner. she grabbed onto it, opening it up before looking into the tiny mirror attached to her locker and then applying the lip balm onto her dry lips.
