Chapter 38

= A Week Later

Izuku let out a sigh as he felt the effects of Katsuma's quirk repairing him. It always had a strange yet calm effect on whoever he used it on, it was soothing.

Izuku: "Thanks Katsuma, I think that's enough for now," he said, stretching his shoulder some.

Katsuma: "I can do more," he said confidently.

Izuku: "Really?" he asked, "Don't push yourself, the last thing either of us need is your sister scolding us again because you passed out pushing your quirk too much." he said, letting out an awkward chuckle back to the last scolding.

Katsuma: "I-I got it." he said, "I p-promise I can do it, p-please?" he begged.

Izuku: "Well... if you think you can do it."

Katsuma then gave a nod before he continued using his quirk. Izuku was already healed most of the way, all Katsuma needed to do was give it one more push.

After a few moments, Izuku let out a small sigh of relief.

Izuku: "Katsuma, I think I'm good now." he said.

Katsuma: "R-Really?" he said.

Izuku: "Yep, I'm feeling much better now, thank you." he said.

Mahoro: "You two done yet?" she asked as she balanced on a stone fence.

Izuku: "Yeah, I think that this is the last time I need to go to the Katsuma clinic." he said, letting out a small chuckle.

Mahoro: "Whatever," she said, "Just don't come over just so Katsuma can heal you, it's annoying." she huffed.

Izuku: "Does that mean you just want me to come over to play?" he asked.

Mahoro: "Ah! N-No.." she said, he face becoming red with embarrassment.

Izuku: " Don't worry, I'll come over when I can so we can play." he said, patting Mahoro's and then Katsuma's head, " Though right now I need to get back to-" just then, his phone began to ring, "Hmm?" he hummed as he pulled out his phone, "Hey Oboro, what's up?"

Oboro: "Um... well, there have been a few complications that arose with the clone." he said.

Izuku: "What's up? Did something happen at the hospital?" he asked.

Oboro: "Well, as you know today is the day that you were supposed to be getting out of the hospital and resuming school, correct?" he asked.

Izuku: "Yes..." he said.

Oboro: " Well, apparently as you were leaving the hospital with your mother, the clone bumped into and fell down the stairs before... being destroyed by the fall."

Izuku: "... Oboro, please get me a portal to the hospital." he said.

Oboro: "R-right away s-sir." he said, stuttering some.

Izuku: "Thank you, Oboro... and you don't need to call me sir, Deku is fine." he said, giving a small sigh.

Oboro: "Yes, apologies sir." he said before he hung up, causing Izuku to let out a groan.

Katsuma: "Your leaving?" he asked.

Izuku: "Yeah, something happened, and I need to hurry over. Sorry." he said as he rubbed the back of his head before a portal opened, "And that's my transportation." he said as he got up, "Ugh... this is going to be complicated." he groaned.

= Hospital

Izuku stepped out of the portal, taking off his mask before looking around to see that he was in the middle of a hallway.
