32- how to be a wolf again

"Do you wanna go on a run with me?" Yoongi asks him softly.

Jimin looks slightly taken aback. He can't ignore the wolf in him practically howling in joy from the offer. But his more intellectual human side doesn't know how to feel. He feels like he should be excited to go on a run, especially since he hasn't shifted since he was little. But part of him is hesitant.

Yoongi hurt his feelings not to long ago. He also confessed not too long ago. And then they had that weird talk during lunch and now Yoongi is trying to get them to hang out with each other in a secluded environment. But maybe Jimin is reading too much into this, maybe Yoongi just wants someone to take a run with. Or maybe Yoongi is trying to fix things between them.

"I feel like you're gonna go on a run by yourself at some point," Yoongi suddenly starts out, looking out at the wide vast of trees. "I'd rather you go with someone in the pack first."

"Are you worried about my safety?" Jimin says teasingly.

Yoongi turns back to him and takes a small step closer. "I'm worried about you. You haven't shifted in a while and the pack isn't familiar with your scent so they could mistake you for an intruder."

Then he reaches out and grabs Jimin's hand. His palm feels warm. "I also just want to fix things with you and I feel like a run is well needed for both of us."

Jimin feels his hand begin to sweat in Yoongi's. The anxiousness is eating him up. Actually, it isn't anxiety, it's excitement. He wants to fix things with Yoongi as well. They don't have to be super close, but having Yoongi as a friend again is enough for Jimin. And maybe this run will calm his inner wolf down.

"Okay." He nods, agreeing to the run.

"Okay." Yoongi smiles.

He shows him how to place his clothing in the lockers and explained how his pack treats shifting. Anyone is allowed to shift at any time, but when the head alpha calls for a hunt, only a select few can shift. But Jimin quickly turned away with a light blush when Yoongi began to strip from his shirt once more.

"Really?" The alpha chuckles. "You act like you're new to this."

"No one really shifts in the city," Jimin answers with an embarrassed pout. He listens to the rustle of clothes and the sound of the locker closing.

"Well, maybe you need to come to the pack lands more."

Then, he hears a thud and an animalistic huff. He turns around after a few seconds and sees a large, dark brown wolf staring up at him. Yoongi's wolf is much larger than a normal one, and his fur coat is nearly black, only appearing dark brown underneath the afternoon sun.

The alpha steps closer to him and sniffs at his leg. Then he nibbles on the fabric of Jimin's jeans, tugging at it. Jimin rolls his eyes.

"Okay, don't look." He huffs, walking around the lockers and making sure no one could see him. He peaks around it to make sure Yoongi isn't peaking. The alpha is lying on the dirt with his eyes closed, sunbathing.

Jimin sighs and begins removing his clothes. His excitement grows. He can't wait to finally run through the woods. He doesn't even remember how to shift, it's really just a feeling. He takes a deep breath and allows his inner wolf to come forward, embodying its form. And when he opens his eyes, he's surprised at how DIFFERENT everything looks and feels.

He can see clearer and further at the same time. His sense are heightened, especially his nose. He can pick up almost every scent nearby, including the alpha in front of him. Only that Yoongi's scent is quite strong and alluring. The smell of lemon grass and peppermint was very strong, stronger than how it is when in human form. It's no wonder Yoongi found him so easily the first time Jimin seen him in wolf form.
