The Great Hall was decorated with Hufflepuff and Slytherin banners and there was an excited buzz in the air in anticipation for the game that was contagious. This game decided who would be facing Gryffindor for the finals. There was one fact that was lifting my spirits after last night- Finn was the Keeper for the Hufflepuff team. The fact that in a few short hours I was going to be able to put him in his place made me grin.

I spotted Ronnie sitting with Ominis and Natty at the end of the Slytherin table and every other thought I had vanished. She was wearing her Quiditch kit with her silver hair braided down her back. I smiled, probably looking like a complete fool, and watched her for a moment before joining them. She was the most beautiful girl I'd ever had the fortune of laying my eyes on and the fire in her soul only made her that much more intoxicating. I don't know how I got so lucky.

Last night had been horrid... the things that they said about her... I couldn't even believe it! Thinking about it made my blood boil. I didn't see Reggie or Ignatius at the table which was probably for the best. I don't know how I was going to be able to play on a team with those insufferable twats. This game was going to be very interesting.

"Good morning!" I greeted them.

"Morning Sebastian," Natty replied.

Ronnie looked up at me and flashed me a smile that didn't quite reach her eyes. The fire that normally lived there seemed to be dimmed. "You okay?" I asked as I plopped down next to her.

"Yeah, yeah... I'm fine," she replied forcing her tone to sound convincing as she returned to her breakfast. I placed my hand in her back and fiddled with the end of her braid absentmindedly. "Ominis received a howler this morning," she informed me.

"From your parents?" I asked Ominis but I couldn't bare to take my eyes from Ronnie.  She looked up me, sensing my gaze and I watched as a bashful smile crept across her lips before she turned to Ominis.

He groaned. "Yes... they are both very proud and very angry that I reacted the way I did last night... They are even more set in the fact that I need to return home this summer. But I don't have to apologize to Marvolo so... that's a good I guess," he relaid.

"Brilliant! Your parents are finally proud of you! I'm sure that feels wonderful..." I replied sarcastically.

"Precisely..." Ominis huffed. "I do not regret my actions but..." he paused. "I don't know..."

"Don't regret your actions for a single second Ominis!" Natty proclaimed and placed her hand on top of Ronnie's. "You do not have to claim to be fine. Those horrid heathens said foul, hurtful and very untrue things. I will turn each of them into the chickens they are if you say the word!"

"I would love to see that!" Ronnie chuckled lightly. "But really I'll be alright. They're just being ignorant and jealous boys. I could have taken all of them with my eyes closed."

"Doesn't mean that we won't get our revenge," I suggested darkly.

"What the hell guys?!" Imelda slammed her hands down on the table. "There are rumors flying around as quick as a snitch! What happened last night?"

We all looked at each other not knowing what to say.

"Bloody hell!" She exclaimed. "If one of you doesn't tell me soon I am going to lose it!"

I decided that I would take on the job of telling her what happened last night. "We got into a bit of a scrap with Reggie, Ignatius, Marvolo and Gertrude last night... scared them proper straight!"

"I heard...." She turned to Ominis. "You made Marvolo's mouth disappear?!" She exclaimed in a hushed tone.

Ominis nodded. "And I'd do it again in a heartbeat after the things that arrogant tosser said!"
