-Ronnie-
The ceiling shown an iridescent starlight down over the entirety of the Great Hall. It was a lighting that was flattering to anyone but to Sebastian... Well, Sebastian looked devilishly handsome. He had a charm that would have made my grandmother love him but his eyes were dark and wonderfully sinful. The way he looked at me was as if I had stolen the whole of the universe and given it to him on a silver platter. I couldn't take my eyes off him as he swaggered off, looking back over his shoulder at me with a smirk before resuming his conversation with Ominis. The conversations continued around me but I could not be pulled from my thoughts and musings.
Tonight felt almost as if it were a dream, but being able to be with Sebastian like this... it was something that I couldn't have even imagined. I wasn't oblivious to the eyes that were on him, some of them belonged to girls who had come to wish him well after he'd been shot. Though I was still annoyed by their blatant admiration of him, I couldn't blame them.
"O'Leary!" Garreth greeted loudly, and I tore my eyes away from the brown-haired boy who owned my heart. "Where Adelaide?"
I smiled distractedly at Finn who was already blatantly looking me over. "You mind if I steal you for a moment, Ronnie?" He asked with a charming smile.
I searched where I'd last seen Sebastian but he had disappeared into the crowd.
"Won't take too long, I promise," he added, pulling my attention back to him.
I laughed, nodding as I grabbed Finn's arm. He proceeded to lead me through the crowd of dancing and talking students. I had assumed that he had asked me for a dance but he kept walking and followed him out the doors of the Great Hall.
"What did you need me for Finn?" I asked, an uneasiness gnawing at my stomach.
"Sorry, it's just so loud and I wanted to talk to you about something," he looked at me with a sweet smile.
We walked through the next set of doors where students were still funneling in and out to get to and from the dance.
"Are you enjoying your night so far?" He asked.
I nodded, looking at him skeptically. "Yes, it has been so amazing!" I stopped walking. "How has your night been so far? Where's Adelaide?"
"She and Lenora were chatting so I figured I'd come find you," he offered lightly.
"I really should get back," I said, awkwardly shifting from one foot to the other. "Sebastian just went to grab me a drink."
"Ahhh... Yes," he sighed dramatically and moved toward me. I backed up a few steps, eyeing him.
Finn grabbed ahold of my arm and before I could yank my arm from his grasp her grabbed onto my waist and pulled me against him.
"What the hell Finn," I spat out. "Get off of me."
He easily held onto me, able to subdue any attempt for me to squirm away. Something in the back of my head was screaming at me to run, I felt my skin crawling at the feeling of his breath on my ear.
"Let you go? So you can run back to your murderous boyfriend?" He whispered darkly in my ear.
I froze.
"Come with me Veronica," he demanded. "Come with me or I may just have to tell someone about Sebastian's little secret." His hand slowly slid down back as he moved away.
I felt like the wind had been knocked out of me. "Excuse me?"
"You heard me."
"Finn? Just tell me what's going on..." I said dumbfounded.
