'If you follow the judgment of the dragons, then why not the judgment of our dragons? We are not the enemy, we care and respect them as equals and we have gained their trust, and I hope we can gain yours as well' Hiccup said as he mounted Toothless and looked at Mala.
'Release them' she said.
'What!?' Throck questioned.
'The dragon judged them innocent. Throck, release them, release them all' you sighed in relief as you felt the tension in the room ease. Mala guided you all back to the village and apologized for everything. Hiccup forgave her, no surprise there, and she offered to give you all a tour of the village.
'Here is an armory, and there are our healing quarters, where human and dragon can be treated' Mala pointed out the important buildings of the village and Fishlegs took notes in his little book, very intrigued.

'Queen Mala, what dragon is that?' Fishlegs asked as he pointed to the statute we first saw when we approached the island.
'That is our great protector, the Eruptodon. He keeps us all safe by eating and stabilizing the lava flow, without him all of this would burn to the ground' Mala said as she gazed up at the statue.
'Ohh, fascinating,' Fishlegs giggled as he wrote some more into his book.
'I think your great protector is asleep on the job' Snotlout pointed at the volcano that was now spewing smoke. Mala ran to inform the guards to go check on the great protector.
'We can go check it out, we could be there in less than-' Hiccup was about to mount Toothless when Mala stopped him.
'No, Hiccup, while you are here you must respect our ways, we will go on foot' she said as she guided you all to the den of the great protector. When you arrived you saw all the gifts that the people had left for this dragon.
'Look at all these gifts they have left for the great protector' Astrid pointed out. There were carvings, food, and flowers.

'There should be guards here' Mala said as you all reached the entrance to the volcano.
You all ran after Mala into the volcano, you noticed the panic in her eyes as she looked around, but the great protector was nowhere in sight.
'It's gone' she said as she wiped a tear from her cheek.
'Could he just be in a different part of the island?' Hiccup tried to find a positive outlook but it was useless.
'No, he never strives far from his food source'
You heard someone coughing and turned to see Astrid with an arrow.
'Dragon hunters' she said, and she was right.
'So you were lying to me after all, I was almost beginning to believe you' Mala snapped the dragon hunter's arrow and looked at Hiccup.
'You served your master well, without the Eruptodon my people are doomed, but so are yours' Hiccup started to back away to create some distance while the rest of the riders were surrounded by guards.
'My people are going to die for what you've done, but first, Hiccup, I'm going to kill you myself' Mala said as she pointed her sword to his throat.

'No you don't' you stepped in front of Hiccup while you grasped your sword in your hand.
'Kiara, there's no need for you to die, you are kind, don't make me hurt you'
You didn't move or hesitate to move your sword closer to her jugular.
'You're not going to touch a hair on any of the riders heads'

'What are we going to do now? our beloved eruptodon is gone and you hold me in front  of your night fury' she said, and Hiccup told Toothless to back off.
'Ok, yes, Viggo did use us so he could capture your eruptodon, but without us knowing, we are not one of them' Hiccup waited for her to respond. She lowered her sword from your chest and took a step back.
'We will help you get him back, we can track Viggo and bring back your dragon' you said and everyone agreed.
'Okay, but I will leave some riders to help you fight the fire'
'Only your best' Mala stated.
'Heather, she's a survivalist, she's dealt with lava before, and Ruff and Tuff, let's just say they have experience cleaning up stuff, you can trust us' you orders and the twins and Heather immediately went to work.

You all walked back to your dragons and they suddenly turned aggressive. Not towards you, their attention was directed to a bush just outside the cave. Before anyone could react a couple arrows were shot at the dragons from the other side of the bush. Mala yelled as she ran into the bush. After a couple seconds of commation Mala dragged two beaten hunters out of the bushes.
'Impressive' you complimented.
'Thank you' she smiled.
'Where is Viggo going?' you asked the hunters but they just shrugged and didn't answer you.
'Ugh fine' you hand signaled towards Luna and she pounced onto one of the hunters digging her claws into his chest slightly.you were always more ruthless than the others when it came down to it. When the man winced in pain you asked him again.
'Where is Viggo going?'
'West, he's going west with the dragon, please don't hurt me' the man begged for his life as he refused to look Luna in the eyes.
'Hurt you, I'm not that crazy' you giggled and told Luna to let him go.

'Riders to the air, we have to find him before it's too late' the rest of the riders including you mounted their dragons but before they took off Mala stopped them.
'Stop i'm coming with you'
'Oh ok you can ride with me and Toothless' Hiccup offered but she sweetly declined.
'No thank you Hiccup but I will be riding with him' she gestured towards Snotlout.
'We don't have time for this, come on' you said angrily as you flew Luna into the sky flying west.
