You're not that bad

Its about time we were introduced -1-

'Kiara, watch it!' Astrid yelled as she noticed some of the hunters on the ship aimed their crossbows at you. You flew Luna, your Stormcutter dragon up just above the range of the arrows.
'Thanks, Astrid' you thanked her but she just huffed and flew Stormfly back down towards the ship to attack. You just ignored her and flew back down back towards Hiccup.
'Don't you think it's time to go?' you said and he agreed.
'Riders, fallback. We're done here' Hiccup ordered, and everyone flew back to the edge. You landed Luna in the stables and jumped off her with a smile on your face.
'What are you smiling at?' Hiccup asked as he dismounted Toothless.
'It's just good to be in the game again. Berk is boring at best' you said as you walked with Hiccup and Fishlegs into the stables while everyone else split up to do their own things before dinner.

You were sitting in the clubhouse reading a book while you listened to Hiccup and Fishlegs geek over some invention Hiccup was working on, you didn't really pay attention. You only perked your head up when you noticed a terrible terror perch itself into Hiccup's shoulder.
'What is it?' Fishlegs asked while Hiccup was reading it. You noticed the serious look on his face, you placed your book down and walked towards him. You quickly snatched the parchment from his hands and started to read. Hiccup called in the riders for a meeting.
'What was in the letter, Kiara?' Fishlegs asked again.
It's Viggo. He wants to meet'

'It's a trap, Hiccup. He just wants to get you alone so his men can ambush you' Astrid said, but you and Heather both disagreed.
'That doesn't sound right. Viggo likes to outsmart his appointments' you said.
'If you're going, I'm coming' you said, but Hiccup argued.
'No, Kiara, I promised our father you wouldn't be in danger' he tried to argue, but everyone knew it was useless.
'He stole our gold and almost starved out my island, it's about time we met each other' you smiled and went to get Luna ready for the long flight.

Heather and Astrid chose to tag along as well, as a back up if Viggo decided to try anything. When you all arrived at the island you saw Viggo sitting out in the open, no hiding places for his hunters, and he was leaving himself vulnerable.
'He would be easy to pick off from here' Heather suggested but Hiccup wanted to see what Viggo had to say.

'No. I want to listen to what he has to say. Cover us, and watch that ship for me' Hiccup orders and flies down towards Viggo. You followed close behind him but you didn't land, Viggo was surrounded by blue flowers. They looked familiar, Hiccup was about to land when you realized.
'No, Hiccup, it's blue oleander!'
'Ahhh' Hiccup flew Toothless to the edge where you were waiting for him.
'Watch him, bud, if he makes a move, you know what to do'
'You watch him, girl' you placed a hand on Luna's snout before you and Hiccup walked up towards Viggo. He sat down in front of a Maces and Talons board.
'I think you're missing a piece' Hiccup placed a Maces and Talons piece down on the board where it should be.

'You came, I'm surprised' Viggo greeted you, but you knew he wasn't.
'No you're not, or you wouldn't be sitting in a circle of flowers that are poisonous to dragons' Viggos attention went from Hiccup to you and his eyes widened when he looked into yours but he quickly brushed it off, you almost didn't notice.
'This must be Kiara Haddock, it is a pleasure to officially meet you, my dear' he said it with such a respectful tone you could almost believe he was a nice person, but you knew better.
'It's good to meet you, the man that almost wiped out my entire island full of innocent men, women, and children just because his fragile ego was bruised by a peg-legged adolescent. Yeah, it's good to meet you too' you crossed your arms if you let him have it. People can mess with Hiccup and the riders, that's fine, but he messed with Berk. He messed with your people, and you will never let that slide.

'It wasn't personal, my dear'
'I know from experience that it is always personal. What, did my brother bruise your pathetic ego?' you questioned, and you knew you had hit a nerve by the expression on Viggos face.
'Look, what do you want, Viggo?' Hiccup asked.
'I simply want to congratulate you, your little group has had some important victories lately' Viggo spoke.
'I accept your surrender' Hiccup said but Viggo laughed it off.
'I'm happy to see your humor is still intact, but I am simply offering a truce' he placed a map into the Maces and Talons board with a red line down the middle.
'You stay south of this line and my men and I will stay above it, we never have to fight again' Hiccup thought about it, it wasn't worth it in your opinion. Giving up half the archipelago for this moron, and who's to say he will even keep up his end of the deal?

'And why should we do that? What, you're afraid a peg legged teenager is gonna beat you?' Hiccup looked at you like you were crazy for insulting him, but you weren't scared of him. You've dealt with people way worse than him in your lifetime.
'I'll think about it' Hiccup said. You looked at him with a furious expression, but you didn't say anything.
'Of Course, of course, all leaders must receive counsel, but in the end, it is up to us, isn't it?' He said with a smile before you and Hiccup walked away.
'You didn't tell me he was a fucking psychopath' you whispered but just enough so you knew Viggo had heard it.
Everyone flew back to the edge in silence.
'What did he want?' Astrid questioned mid flight.
'He wanted a truce, he wanted to split the archipelago in half to keep us apart, but it is a stupid idea' you said, and Astrid agreed with you.

This is my first story I am ever posting online, I hope you guys are enjoying. I don't know how I feel about my writing but I feel it's good enough to keep this story interesting.
