meeting Deric

My mother ended up meeting this guy who she is currently engaged to after 8-9 years of dating. I didn't meet him until later, but i heard about him a few times, and let me tell you. I had issues. My mom wasn't as home much, so it felt like she was trying to leave me behind somehow, but i know she would never do that. She's choosing me over anyone else in a heartbeat. Eventually i did meet him and his 3 kids at an arcade game and it was a lot of fun but going there i ended up saying a cuss word out of excitement and then started crying because i thought i was in trouble even though it was completely an accident. Mind you, i was like 7 going onto 8 so you can see where i was scared to be in trouble. I ended up having fun there minus the not knowing anyone and seeing the shadow figures in the corners of the rooms wed go into. Later into the months, Deric would invite my mom and me out with him and his kids for lunches and other fun activities. Eventually though me and my mom had moved into their house and me being me i still hid behind my mom, I dont know weird habit, anyways we moved into his house and i ended up sharing a room with his youngest daughter who is a few months younger than me and his oldest and only son who was barely ever there which was so much fun. Me and Jorja, who is my stepsister, who's younger than me, we never really got along. We still dont. We have our days that we would get along, but it's not that often. Michael and I got along for the most part until his anger issues got in the way, but it was always blamed on me even though let's ambit it. i was his favorite sister. Christiana and I got along really well. For most of the summers and school years, i slept in her room with her. We were 8 years apart lol but we aren't that close to each other anymore. we drifted after a while. Now a days im not really close with anyone even my best friends Aidan(monkey) and Breanna(bre) im not that close to them anymore like i used to be even though when it comes to us Monkey is 9 days older than me and were both a few months older than Bre. Deric isn't a bad person. he's just hard to connect to. I've never had a full conversation with him. Mainly because i dont know how to talk to him, and i blame all of my abonnement issues and everything else on just being way too guarded to let anyone in. Deric is a really nice guy. He's helpful, and he doesn't hurt my mom on purpose, and he hasnt left yet.
