As I flick through the many document on my desk, I hear a knock at my office door. The glass is on its clear setting, so I can see who it is through the windows. It's a pink haired man who is most likely a paralegal. I wave at him, signalling for him to enter my office. He pushes his back through the door as he can't use his hands because of the mountain of files he's holding.
As he enters my office however, he loses his footing and manages to drop all of the documents onto the floor. I spring up from my seat and move round my desk, crouching down to help him pick all the papers up.
"Ah, I'm sorry Miss L/n... you don't have to." He begins.
"No, It's fine don't worry. And call me Y/n." I say with a smile as I stack the papers together and hand them back to him. He looks at me gratefully before putting the documents down on my desk.
"These are all the ones you requested. Let me know if you need anything else." He says as he turns to leave my office.
"Wait a second." I say, calling him back, "what's your name?"
"Itadori Yuji!" He says with a smile which automatically spreads to my face because of it's infectious nature. "Oh, I almost forgot. Satoru said that he wants to see you in his office at 11 am." He says as his smile fades slightly, it's as if he didn't want to have to tell me that. I nod at him, as I know he's just the messenger and doesn't deserve any of my misdirected anger towards Satoru landing on him instead.
"Thanks for letting me know." I tell him and he exits the room swiftly. Satoru's office is just a couple doors down from mine and he couldn't even tell me himself? He treats me like one of his underling employees even though we have the same position in the firm and it's infuriating.
I proceed to get a bit carried away with my work for the next couple of hours and check my watch to see that it's now 11:02 am. I leave my office and make my way towards Satoru's and I already know he's going to chastise me for being late. I push my way through the door and as I enter he's working at his desk.
I shut his door behind me before turning back to him. He seems to be intensely focused and has loosened his tie around his neck, undoing the top button of his shirt also. He bites the end of his pen in thought and hasn't even acknowledged my entrance yet. I sway slightly from side to side in awkwardness as I stand at the end of the room.
"You're late." He says finally and at this I immediately roll my eyes and turn round to leave. "Wait." He says just before I do so and I turn around to face him. He's still not looking at me, but he's holding out a file in my direction. I raise an eyebrow at him as I walk towards the desk, taking the file out of his hands.
I look at what's written on the front cover. 'Amazon' it reads.
"Is this some kind of sick joke, Satoru?" I say, looking down to the file in my hands, opening it to see the details of the merger that was mine before he stole it.
"No, It's not." He says as his eyes finally look up to meet mine.
"What, so you're just giving me back the client?" I say confused. "No strings attached?"
"Well... it was going to be no strings attached." He begins and I put the file back down onto his desk. Whatever he wants me to do, I'm not doing it. "But after your attitude to me just now, I want something in return for the rest of the files." He says as he gets up from his seat.
"What now, Satoru?" I clench my fist by my side in anger as he comes round to the other side of the desk to stand next to me. He towers over me imposingly but I don't back down.
"We need to fix that." He says and I give him a confused look. "What did I say about you calling me Satoru?" He continues and I feel my eye twitch as I realise what he wants me to do. "Call me Mr Gojo." He says as he takes another step closer to me.
