I wake up the next morning, unsurprisingly, in Satoru's arms. As we both get dressed for the day after showering, he points to his sweatshirt that's folded neatly on the chair in the corner of the room. I walk over and grab it before offering it back out to him.
"I don't want it back, I was saying you should wear it." He corrects and I smile as I pull the item of clothing over my head before turning round to look in the mirror. "It's yours now." He says and I watch his reflection as he closes in on me from behind, his arms wrapping around my waist as he does so. "Just like you're mine now." I lean my head back over my shoulder to look at him and he pecks my lips gently before pulling away.
I turn my face to the side to hide a wide smile. We then agree that it's probably best for Satoru to move his belongings to my suite, considering there's no reason for us to hide being together anymore. He re-enters my room carrying various bags which I then help him to unpack. I suddenly check the time and realise I promised Shoko that I'd do that stupid snowboarding class with her today.
"I'm so sorry, I would stay here if I could." I tell Satoru as I gather my bag together.
"It's fine, don't worry, just have fun." He tells me as he gives me a quick kiss on the lips.
"Thank you, I'll see you later, yeah?" I tell him and he nods in response as I rush out of the door. I'm startled when I see someone standing opposite, knocking on the door to the room across the hall (aka Satoru's previous room.) The person hears me enter the corridor and turns around startled.
"Oh, hi." The woman says, and I recognise that it's Sophia.
"Hi." I respond politely. I wouldn't be so polite if Satoru wasn't making himself at home in my room right now. "Are you okay?" I ask her and she nods quickly in response.
"Yeah, do you know where Satoru is?" She asks and a smile spreads across my face.
"No, I don't think he's in his room right now, he must have left." I tell her and she gives me a cold stare.
"Okay, thanks for letting me know." She says and I continue off down the corridor to the lift where I then reconvene with Shoko in the lobby. She chastises me for being a few minutes late, but forgives me once I tell her about what Satoru and I decided last night. She's shocked to say the least, but still claims to have seen this coming (which I don't believe).
Through the snowboarding session, we both discover that we are awful at snowboarding. So much so that half way through when we thought we were just getting the hang of it, Shoko manages to crash herself into me and causes us both to tumble down the slope in a comedic fashion. I laugh as she raises her head to look at me, both of us lying in a mess on the ground.
"You're so bad at this!" I shout at her as I hold onto the side of my torso which is sore from both laughing and where she had just hit me. "I think you cracked my rib though." I say as I pull myself up from the ground and help her to do so too.
"You're just as bad as me." She retorts and I don't disagree. We somehow make it down the mountain in one piece, and decide to go for drinks in the bar after.
"Your hair is such a mess." I say with a laugh as I attempt to run my fingers through Shoko's tangled mess.
"Speak for yourself." She says and I reach my hand up to my own hair, just to find it in a similar state to hers. "I don't know about you." She begins, downing the rest of her drink as she does so. "But I need a shower." She finishes and I nod in response.
We make our way back to our separate rooms and when I return I'm saddened to see that Satoru isn't there. Then again, I can't just expect him to wait around all day for me whilst I go out on the activities Shoko forces me on. I strip out of my warm clothing before turning the shower on, but as I lift my arms I feel a twinge of pain in my side.
