I feel myself begin to doze off as my head hits against the car window with the undulations in the road. Despite this, I'm broken out of my sleep like state when Satoru speaks.
"Could you pull over here?" He says and I snap upright, looking out of the window at the bright city lights. We're in central London and down one of the more residential side streets. Satoru gets out of the car and comes round to my door, opening it for me and offering his hand so I can step out. "We'll be 15 minutes." He tells James who nods in response.
Before I can ask him where we're going, he drags me in a different direction by his grip on my hand. Tugging me along behind him, I jog to catch up as I laugh.
"Where are we going?" I ask him and he smiles down at me.
"Are you hungry?" He says and I nod my head violently. "Let's get some food then." He finishes as we get to the end of the road and enter a busier street, one filled with restaurants and bars which are still open at this late hour. Satoru keeps me close to him by holding my hand as we make our way down the street, eventually reaching a pizzeria.
We enter, naturally receiving some odd looks considering our formal attire, but I brush it off. As soon as I see the fresh tiramisu in the refrigerated window display of the restaurant, I actually realise how hungry I am as my stomach rumbles at simply the sight of the dessert.
Thankfully, Satoru orders us a pizza and before long we leave the restaurant with the food. After making our way back to where James was parked, we sit on a bench opposite the car and stretch the pizza box across our laps as I practically drool at the sight of it.
The atmosphere around us is peaceful as the bench backs onto one of those large private gardens that London has so many of. Despite it now being dark, we're under the illumination of a warm streetlight next to us which creates some form of ambience for our impromptu, curb-side meal.
Satoru lifts a piece of the pizza from the box and holds it out to me. I go to grab it with my hands eagerly, but he takes it back a few inches, causing me to give him a confused look.
"I'll feed you." He says and I roll my eyes. I'm too hungry to argue with his demands right now, so I move my head towards him and he leans over to me at the same time. I take a bite of the slice and see a grin grace Satoru's lips as I do so, almost making me laugh mid bite. Before I pull away, I'm startled when I hear a camera click, and look to my left to see James hanging out of the drivers side window of the car with his phone in his hand.
I give him a confused look as I pull back from Satoru and finish the pizza that's in my mouth. James retracts himself back into the car and I look at Satoru perplexed.
"What was that about?" Satoru calls out to him before taking a bite of the same slice of pizza he had just fed me. James reappears in the drivers window and leans back out.
"For the memories, Master Gojo!" James replies enthusiastically and I grab a slice of pizza and a napkin before running up to the car. I bring the food to the drivers window and offer him it.
"Can I see the photo?" I ask and he pulls out his phone, showing me the picture as I exchange it for the pizza. It's actually really cute, we're both smiling as he feeds me the pizza, sitting side by side. The lamppost by the bench creates a isolated pool of light around us, making it seem as if we're the only two people in the world.
You can also make out the lights of towering skyscrapers in the distance behind us, adding to the setting even more. It's a really beautiful photo.
"Send it to me please." I tell him as I hand his phone back and he nods in response.
I run back to Satoru and we continue our alfresco meal. "So, what exactly did you talk about?" He asks after finishing a mouthful of pizza, referencing to my earlier conversation with his mother.
