After Satoru and I get cleaned up, we get ready to head over to his family's house. It's a more intimate event than the last time I went there, so there's no need for me to wear a smart outfit, but nonetheless, I decide to wear a dress. It's navy blue to match Satoru's shirt and perfect for the occasion. Satoru himself is dressed in a pair of casual, black dress pants and a navy blue shirt with the first few buttons open plus the sleeves rolled up to his forearms to match.

"You ready?" He asks me as I sweep my hair round to one side on my shoulder before sliding on my sling back kitten heels.

"Yeah." I respond as I follow him towards the front door. We're planning on staying over at Satoru's family home (the place is massive, it's not like they don't have enough spare rooms). We both stuff our bags into the front trunk of Satoru's car before setting off in the direction of our destination.

I suddenly gasp and look over in Satoru's direction, causing him to give me a confused look.

"Can I see your childhood room?" I ask and his brow furrows.

"Why? You weirdo..." He says with a laugh and I roll my eyes at him.

"It's not weird, I'm just curious." I say as I turn my head away to look back out of the window. A few seconds of silence pass and I feel his hand grip mine on my thigh.

"Of course you can." He says and I look over to him as he smiles back to me. "But I have a feeling it will disappoint." He finishes and I shrug in response.

"I assume you told your mother I was coming?" I ask and he nods.

"She was... very happy." He says through gritted teeth and I laugh. I think it scares us both a little how much she seems to like me, but I guess it's nice to have someone so invested in our relationship other than us.

"Good." I say and Satoru squeezes my hand before releasing it from his grip and returning his own to the steering wheel. We finally leave central London and arrive at Satoru's more rural family home. As we approach, even though the light is only just beginning to fade in the sky, the Christmas lights look amazing. Satoru wasn't lying when he said they took it to the max, every window, every door, every roof edge is lined with warm toned Christmas lights. Every one of the manicured hedges leading up the drive is adorned with lights, and there's even large lit-up figures of deers placed selectively around the grounds.

As we drive up to the house I press my face against the window in awe, causing Satoru to laugh.

"Do you like it?" He says and I nod in response. "Wait until you see it when it's completely dark." He finishes.

"I can't wait..." I respond as I face forwards once again to see a few different cars parked outside the front of his house. We stop at the vast steps to his porch and Satoru opens my door before helping me out. Two butlers rush up to us to collect our bags and Satoru instructs them to put our things in his room. We begin to ascend the steps before entering his home.

If I thought the outside was well decorated, then the inside is one hundred times better. The reception room alone has a huge Christmas tree placed to the left hand side. As we move through to what was a cold and slightly empty dining room the last time I was here, it's now been filled with furniture. There's a lit fireplace to the left of the room, with sofas positioned around it. To the right of the room there's a long dining table where I assume we will be eating dinner.

There's also a second Christmas tree in this room, one that makes you wonder how they even got it through the door because of it's vast size. Not only that, but how could someone even decorate it? The baubles are scattered evenly from the very bottom to the very top, with Christmas lights intertwined in the branches. Underneath the Christmas tree there's bundles and bundles of empty wrapping paper, presumably from gifts which once resided there.
