As promised, pictures from the con with the finished costume for those who don't have Instagram and don't follow us.

By this point in the day we'd been sweating in the damn dealers hall for hours so makeup is a liiittlllee smudged but it's fine you can barely see it. Rare face pictures oooh, we only show our face online when we're in cosplay because ya know, makeup and wigs obscure your features.

Here's some of the fancy details. Notice that zag put Hypnos' mask on the belt to be like "yeah that's my gender ambiguous baby girl"

Testosterone has done A LOT to our face man. It's still kinda settling into the new shape, there's definitely more of a jaw and chin shape now. Cheeks still dunno what they're doing though lol.

The whole costume took a few weeks to make, I was constantly having to go back for more trim lol. First cosplay from scratch since 2019! And of course I did all the work because no one else in the sys knows how to thread a sewing machine, fuck I can barely do it myself. The leg armour is made out of a yoga mat haha, and the sword is a random ass costume sword I found and added a bunch of foam and paint to. Didn't have any orange socks, so when zag was getting dressed he kinda just went "yeah I'll just say Aphrodite gave me a boon or something" and put on heart socks.

Highlights of the con:

Someone walking past just pointing at us and going "Zagreus hadesgame" as if "hadesgame" is his actual last name.

Another person putting on the Zeus voice and going "son of hades"

The person in a creature??? Suit. Like it wasn't a furry it was some magical mystical creature??? No idea what it was from but they didn't talk, they communicated with squeakers in their paws and mimicked a sword fight with me because they saw I had a sword.

Ladybugs VA did a talk, cat was nearby when we stopped to watch it of course.

Turning around and cousin it was just THERE. Some someone actually made a whole ass cousin it cosplay and was walking around in it. Mf must have been SWEATING in that thing.

The fucking meme shirt booth, almost caved and got something from it. It was literally just memes and reaction images on shirts some of them were so funny.

Some guy dressed as the pope and another as Jesus just wandering around with big ass staffs.

Also the pin I so wanted but was sold out that said I heart pathetic men.

Booth that told you what moon phase it was on the day you were born. We're a new moon, which is a cool little fact.

We actually have money left over!! Shocker!!

The haul! It was actually rather small this year.

Zagreus pin, L necklace we turned into an ita bag charm, some Sanrio pins, a carry case for nendroids, tamagotchi stickers and rement minis miku bedroom blind box for our dollhouse. Pulled the gaming desk, came with a little phone and cat ear headset!

I also noticed that artists seem to be leaning more into pins, stickers and keychains rather than prints nowadays. The artist alley was full of trinkets and there were less prints than usual.

We did plan pretty well for this so we didn't have any system mishaps, everyone was where they needed to be. As much as Hypnos wanted to see things they knew they'd be very overstimulated so they stayed far back in the headspace, Zag will fill them in I'm sure. It was crowded as a fuck which to me and Zag is more annoying than overwhelming because lines move at a snails pace. I will say the damn loudspeakers were kind of gross, like the echo was a bit of a sensory yuck but not so bad we couldn't handle it.

When we have a task to focus on we're way better at staying on track and not getting blurry or anything, and our task was looking for particular characters merchandise and getting pictures so we were felt fine. Did wander off from the path a few times to look at cool stuff that caught our attention but hey, that's just being plural and ADHD as fuck for you. You see a shiny and you're off.

So there you go! That's our first con experience post Covid and actually aware of being a system! Pretty successful I'd say. Regular updates return tomorrow!
