Chapter 28- The Search

Dean barged into the Salvatore house, making Sam turn around.

"What all do you know," Dean asked, immediately going to the issue at hand.

"He was visiting Bonnie. They were talking when I called her. Then the call was cut short," Enzo reported.

"We've been trying both of their cells and no response. I've even tried tracking their phones and nothing. I've got nothing. It's like their phones were shut down entirely," Sam sighed stressfully.

"Don't we have anything else," Dean asked.

"Rowena is currently working a tracking spell, but so far she's not picking anything up," Sam said, "Whoever took them must have something strong enough to block her magic."

"Dammit," Dean muttered, "Which park did they go to?"

Dean drove to the park Elena gave him and walked around. He looked for anything that was out of the ordinary. Along the way, he heard a familiar whistling tune nearby. Dean turned to see Benny, Marcel, and Castiel walking up to him.

"If it ain't my brother. You doin alright there, Dean-o," Benny asked.

"Better now that your here," Dean said, "Thanks for helping out."

"Don't mention it. You know us dogs stick together. Just because I'm with Marcel's group, don't mean I don't still look after my own," Benny smiled.

Dean gave him a small smile in return and looked to Marcel for a report.

"Some of my guys are searching around this place a bit. I also have a few trying to get a view of the security cameras," Marcel reported.

"No need."

Klaus walked forward with Elijah and Rebekah beside him.

"I spoke with Kol. Every camera was down during the abduction. This was a planned kidnap and the person knows what they're doing," Klaus said, "Dean, any enemies you can think of who would want to make you suffer?"

"Too many," Dean said, averting his eyes shamefully.

"Whoever they are, they're clearly strong," Rebekah said, "I went toe-to-toe with both Damon and Bonnie. Those two are not that easy to take down, especially when they work together."

"There has to be something here!"

Dean continued searching with his flashlight as the others did the same.

"What are you looking for," Marcel asked.

"A track. A shoe print. Something," Dean said, "Anything that'll give me some idea on where to search."

"Would a blood print work?"

Dean glanced over at Benny and Elijah standing by a tree. He walked over and examined what they found.

"Vampire or witch," Dean asked.

"Vampire from the smell of it," Benny said, lowering his eyes, "It could be a simple battle wound, Dean. Damon might still be okay. He could'a made it out..."

Dean tuned Benny out as he looked at the ground. If there was a blood print then obviously it led to a blood trail nearby. Dean kicked around some leaves and knelt down when he felt his foot hit something solid. He smirked in amusement as he saw a pocket knife that was actually his. Damon must've taken it when he was sleeping one day. The knife was bloody, meaning he cut his hand on purpose to show he was taken. Dean examined the blade's direction and followed it to the next street over.
