Chapter 31- Four Powerful Individuals

Damon allowed Rowena and Kai to work a spell on him as everyone else watched. Once the source of the link was found, Damon grimaced in pain.

"Dad, put your right hand up if it's too much, okay," Dean said.

Damon glanced at Dean and remained still.

"It's two other pregnant women," Rowena confirmed, halting the spell, "That makes four in total."

"Four pregnant women, four Nephilim children," Sam sighed, "This just got a lot more exhausting."

"This still doesn't explain last night though," Elena said, crossing her arms, "Why did they react that way and lashed out?"

"Angel radio probably. These nephilim are half-angels, so they likely have a connection to heaven too," Sam explained, "During the moments when a lot of angels are speaking, it can be panful to tune in."

"Even Castiel said it's uncomfortable sometimes," Dean continued, "Considering how he acted last night, there was a lot of chatter up there."

"If heaven is after them, then we need to hurry up and find these women," Kai said, walking up to them, "Unless you're okay with Damon and Bonnie dying..."

"No, Kai. For the last time, I'm not," Sam said, rolling his eyes.

"It's just a suggestion, in case you decide to change your mind," Kai said, putting his hands up in surrender, "I can do a tracking spell to find them. I'll need to draw some blood from Damon and Bonnie though."

"Is there a way we can also switch the links as well?"

"What do you mean," Kai asked, meeting Dean's pondering gaze, "You mean give the life links to another person?"

"Yeah," Dean said, "Can you?"

"Unless the person is a blood relative to them, not exactly," Kai said.

"If there isn't a blood relation to one of them," Dean asked.

Kai fell silent as he thought up possible solutions. Rowena already figured out how to make it work, but she was curious what he would come up with. He seemed like a talented enough witch. Perhaps she could form a closer bond with him. That is if he's smart enough to solve this mystery on his own.

"Well, it could also be transferred to Damon then to someone related to him and vice versa," Kai said, looking over at Damon, "The only problem with that is the amount of pain you will go through. Not to mention, having all four pregnant women connected to only you will leave you unconscious. It's already draining Damon and Bonnie as we speak..."

"I can handle it," Dean quickly said.

"I'm not saying you can't, Dean," Kai reasoned, "But if it doesn't kill you, then it's going to fuck with your head..."

"What if the links are shared with others?"

Kai and Dean turned to see Klaus, Castiel, and Lucien walking up.

"More specifically, three individuals who are capable of holding the other three life links," Castiel said, "That way he doesn't have to take all the pain?"

Dean's eyes scanned the angel and hybrid before resting on Lucien. Lucien sent a wink his way upon catching his gaze.

"If that was the case, it would probably work," Kai muttered, likely to himself while thinking out loud, "How would I connect them though? I could connect them with each other first, then do the rest. If I do that, they won't have to be blood related. Their spirits would already be intertwined... Like soulmates."
