Stiles watched everything unfold as he floated above the scene. Jack, Hope, and Isaac were with him. Isaac was laying back while floating with his hands folded underneath his head. Hope had her legs crossed as if she was sitting on a chair. Jack was in a position similar to laying on his stomach with his head resting in his hands. Stiles was in an upright, standing position.
"Why aren't we joining in again," Isaac asked, "We can stop this instantly so..."
"For the last time, Isaac, this is for research purposes," Stiles said, not bothering to turn and look at him.
"What about my father? He's still trapped in heaven. I can feel his spirit," Jack said, rolling over to his back to lift his eyes to the sky, "He's anxious to get free."
"No one goes to heaven," Stiles ordered.
"But my father," Jack started, facing Stiles with a glare.
"I said no, Jack! I won't allow you to be in danger. Don't ask again," Stiles said.
A ray of lightning struck close to where Stiles was floating. He turned sharply to see Jack right in front of him with glowing yellow eyes.
"You would have me abandon my father," Jack asked, tilting his head to the side, similar to the way Castiel did when he's been disrespected.
"Jack, you have to trust me on this. It's not safe..."
Another bolt of lightning struck behind Jack. Stiles felt himself tense up. He knew he was likely more skilled in fighting because of his previous life, but Jack would beat him in a contest of brute strength.
"Jack..."
"Move," Jack ordered, "Now."
The third strike of lightning portrayed Jack's wings expanding as a show of aggression towards Stiles. For a split second, Stiles swore he could see his grace forming horns on his head. He sighed deeply and moved aside, allowing Jack to shoot past him, crashing into heaven. Hope hummed as she heard Klaus's howl.
"Dad," Hope whispered.
"We should get ready. We're likely going to have to step in soon," Stiles said, scratching his nape.
In heaven, Jack crash-landed in the meeting room where the angels were gathering. He let out a breath, subtly feeling guilty over the way he treated Stiles. He'll make it up to him later. Right now, he has a show to put on. Jack stood up to face that angels were staring at him as if he were a roach in their food.
"Disgraceful. Every one of you," Jack scolded, walking towards the white throne at the far end of the room, "I take a break for a few centuries and this is what you turn heaven into? Have you no shame?"
"Who do you think you are talking to like that, you abomination?!"
Gabriel, who was actually supposed to be freeing Castiel from his confinement, overheard what Jack was doing. He muffled a laugh at the nephilim's audacity and stepped into the room with a haste. He stopped in front of Jack, falling to his knees in a bowed position.
"Father, is it truly you? Have you finally returned to us after all these years," Gabriel asked, playing along with Jack's bluff.
"Gabriel, you have always been so wise. Raise your head, my son," Jack said.
Gabriel lifted his head to meet Jack's gaze.
"To think that you have been with us this whole time. Inside of this child no less," Gabriel said.
"This was the only way I could visit my dear children without drawing attention. Or so I thought," Jack said, throwing a glare at the other angels.
A good majority of them flinched at the look.
