Dean found Lucien speaking casually with Adam... Or at least it looked like Adam. It could be Michael riding Adam as a vessel so he kept his guard up as he approached.

"Lucien," Dean called out.

Lucien and Adam turned to face Dean. He looked back and forth between them, trying to understand what was going on. Lucien went over to Dean with a charming smile.

"Dean, you remember Adam," Lucien said.

"Of course, I do. I'd never forget my brother," Dean said, looking at him.

"Well don't you have anything you'd like to say," Lucien asked, hinting at him to apologize.

"Am I talking to Michael or Adam," Dean asked.

"Technically it's both of us, but at the moment, it's more me. Adam," Adam said.

"He lets you talk," Dean asked.

"We kinda figured out a system during our time in hell. Turns out, the guy isn't so bad once you get to know him," Adam shrugged with a half-smile.

Dean scanned over him. He looked okay. He didn't appear stressed or anything. It was odd though. Dean swore he could feel Michael's presence around him. It kind of made him want to see with his other eyes.

"I owe you a long overdue apology, man. I'm so damn sorry, Adam. I tried everything I could to get you out of hell but I... I failed you. I failed you over and over and over. And I am sorry. I know I could never earn your forgiveness for leaving you behind but I am sorry," Dean said sincerely.

Adam stared at him for a moment. He finally averted his eyes and cleared his throat.

"You know I waited a long time to hear that. The least you could do is get your knees," Adam teased.

Dean immediately dropped down to his knees in front of him, shocking both Adam and Michael. He lowered his head until his forehead touched the ground.

"I'm so sorry."

Adam opened and closed his mouth trying to find the words to use. Lucien felt a sense of irritation running through him at seeing Dean lower himself to such a pathetic level. He turned away to prevent ruining the moment.

Adam went over to Dean and knelt down in front of him. Dean leaned back to see his face.

"I'm..."

Adam cut him off by squeezing a tight hug around him. He rested his chin on Dean's shoulder as Dean cradled him back.

"It's okay. It's okay. I forgive you. You can stop now," Adam reassured, "Okay? You can stop... Please stop."

"Yeah, okay," Dean said softly.

Adam let out a laugh while releasing Dean from his arms.

"What," Dean asked.

"Michael said he's a little creeped out by your gentle side," Adam explained.

"Tell Michael that it wasn't for him, so he can shove it where the sun doesn't shine," Dean grumbled bitterly.

"He said that's better," Adam chuckled.

Dean felt a smile reach his lips. They both stood up from the ground, dusting themselves off.

"You seem... Different. Something about you has changed," Adam noticed.

He could sense a darkness surrounding him. Like some kind of entity was attached to him. It made him uncomfortable to say the least.

"Well you're not wrong about that. I awakened something called a Dark Hunter," Dean said.
