While Sam spoke to Kol, Dean was called away to help Stiles run an errand.
"So where are we going again," Dean asked, driving to the freeway to leave Mystic Falls.
"I need to pick up an investment. It won't take long," Stiles reassured.
"Investment? What investment," Dean asked, knitting his eyebrows as he glanced over to Stiles in question.
"Personal investment. Get off on the next stop," Stiles ordered.
Dean looked up and began making his way off of the freeway. What kind of investment did Stiles have? Was it even possible to have an investment at his age? Where are they going anyways?
Dean turned back to him to ask more questions but found himself transported somewhere he didn't recognize. He looked around the place in caution. Hold on. He did know this place.
"Home," Dean mumbled, realizing he was in his childhood bedroom.
"I figured you'd be more comfortable in a place we recognize."
Dean sharply turned to face... Himself? Or not himself? This one has dark eyes, like when he uses his abilities. Not just that. There were thick, black lines on his face, tracing the veins attached to his eyes. It reminded Dean of the way Damon looks when flexing his vampirism.
"I'm gonna go out on a limb here and assume you're the Dark Hunter living inside of me," Dean assumed, pointing at him while taking note of any nearby exits.
"I guess you can say that. I'm definitely living inside of you, especially considering that you and I are the same person," Dark Hunter said, circling him.
Dean was already on edge, having this guy... The fake 'Dean' circling him was just adding to it.
"The same person? Yeah, no. You lost me there, buddy. Last I knew I wasn't capable of stealing people out of a moving car. Speaking of, where the hell is my son," Dean growled, his eyes narrowing into a glare.
"Still in the car with you. You two are currently having a nice conversation about tonight's dinner. From the sounds of it, you're having pizza," Dark Hunter said, looking upwards as if he could hear them.
"I don't believe you. Take me back. Now," Dean ordered.
Dark Hunter got closer to him, making Dean tense up and shift away with his fists raised.
"Relax. Not gonna hurt you. I wouldn't hurt myself," Dark Hunter reassured, reaching out to touch his arm.
Dean was suddenly shot back into his car while still driving on the road. He sat up while taking in his surroundings. Was he dreaming? It didn't feel like a dream.
"Hope asked if we can have a rootbeer float for dessert," Stiles said, looking at the message on his cellphone, "... Dad?"
"Huh? Uh, yeah. Sure. Rootbeer float," Dean said absentmindedly.
"Oh... Kay?"
Dean was abruptly brought back to his conversation with Dark Hunter.
"See? Safe and sound. Rootbeer floats with pizza though. Risky but good choice," Dark Hunter said, nodding slowly while stepping away from him.
"What the hell are you," Dean asked, now more nervous than angry.
"Like I said, part of you. Specifically the supernatural, ridiculously sexy part of you," Dark Hunter said, popping his jacket collar when calling himself sexy.
