Later that night, Sam and Dean were dressed in a suit and walking into a ballroom.

"Fancy," Dean said, looking around at everything.

"Dean! Sam!"

They turned to see Damon waving them over. They begin to make their way over. When they reached him, he was standing by others. They reintroduced themselves to the group although they still remembered.

"Yeah, we remember," Jeremy said, pointing at Dean, "You're the son."

"Yeah," Dean said, nodding slowly, "Nice to see you again, Jeremy. So this is supposed to be living for us? Seems boring... No offense."

"You have to wait for the special guests," Damon grinned.

As if on cue, Castiel and Gabriel stepped inside. Both were also dressed in suits. Except Castiel was out of his normal trench coat suit and in an actual tuxedo. Dean and Sam stared at them frozen in place.

"You two going to go say hi or stare at them all night," Damon asked, smirking.

Sam went up first since Gabriel and he are already dating. Dean gathered his confidence before stepping up to Castiel. Except when he got there a lady got in the way. Dean played it off as getting a champagne glass. He listened to Castiel speak with whoever was talking to him and realized she was flirting with him. Jealousy struck him like lightning as he made eye contact with Castiel. He walked over finally.

"Sorry to interrupt," Dean said, flashing a smile, "You mind if I steal him from you? Great!"

Dean took Castiel's hand before the lady could respond. They stopped at an empty corner allowing Dean to finally take him in. He looked really good in a tuxedo.

"Wow, you, uh, clean up nice," Dean said, giving a nervous smirk.

"Thank you," Castiel said, glancing at the tux, "Elena and Caroline helped me pick it out."

"They did good," Dean smiled, "You look great!"

"You look handsome as always," Castiel said, attempting to flirt with him like Damon and Jeremy taught him, "Very handsome."

Dean felt his face heat up a little.

"Well, thank you," Dean said, lowering his head, "I'm glad you like this whole suit thing. It makes wearing it not so bad anymore. I wasn't aware you were showing up here."

"I wanted to surprise you," Castiel said, "I hope it's not too much trouble."

Dean shook his head as he lifted his eyes to meet Castiel's.

"No, it's... You're perfect," Dean said, his voice low.

A song began playing and Castiel held out his hand to Dean.

"I've been practicing dancing," Castiel said, doing what Stefan and Alaric taught him now, "May I show you?"

Dean grabbed his hand and let Castiel lead him to the dancefloor. Now all he had to do was dance like Dean taught him. Castiel went slow and eventually, pulled Dean closer. Their breath was mingling together at their short distance. Dean felt the world around him freeze for a moment. His heart pounded in his ears as he leaned forward slightly. Then when their lips collided, Dean's heart seemed to explode. A warm feeling fell over him and a pleasant hum filled his body. The moment was ruined by the loud clapping, showing the song ended. They looked around, returning their attention to their surroundings.

"Come with me," Dean said, pulling Castiel out of the ballroom.

Once outside, Dean kissed him again, savoring the feeling of him. Castiel grabbed his waist and pulled him closer.

"You have no idea how long I've wanted to do that," Dean breathed.

"I know the feeling," Castiel smiled, caressing his cheek.

"Cas, I need to tell you something," Dean said, bracing himself.

Castiel thought he was about to hear another brotherly speech, making him internally groan in irritation. Nonetheless, he waited for Dean to speak his piece anyway.

"I... I need you," Dean said, "When I say I need you, it's because I'm scared to say more. You've been with Sam and I for a while. You were there by our side, fighting as one of us. You get me more than I get myself. I... I want this. I want us... I always have but I was..."

"I love you too," Castiel said, a few tears falling down his face, "I love you too, Dean. You don't have to say it. I can hear it."

"How," Dean asked.

Castiel placed a hand on his chest.

"Sometimes certain prayers are said without speaking out loud," Castiel said, "But are you sure this is what you want? Dean, I'm not the best at being an angel or human..."

"And you think I'm any good," Dean teased with a chuckle, "You may not be best, but you're still mine. My Cas is an angel that never gave up on me. My Cas has a hard time understanding 'pop culture' at times. My Cas likes to watch the bees. My Cas is the one I tried for so long to push away because I was afraid of falling in love. When I pushed away, he seemed to find a way to pull me back in. I... I'm in love with you, Castiel."

Dean wiped his eyes as he finally felt the tears trickling down.

"Sorry, that's probably a huge turnoff," Dean teased, looking away.

Castiel turned his face back to him.

"You are still beautiful," Castiel smiled, "Still Dean Winchester."

Damon who was eavesdropping around the corner quickly took off back inside. He found Stefan and the others and grinned like a maniac.

"It worked," Damon said, shaking his fists in the air excitedly.
