• Ch 26

Hyunji was currently getting a cake for a customer who came in.
It was around 8pm and the customer just wanted to eat a little something sweet while working on their assignments.

Hyunji was the only one working, besides her manager that was in the back.
When she heard the door open with the little chime, she greeted the customer.

"Hello, thank you for..." she looked at the people who walked in.
"Jiji!!!" Insu said happily.
"Insu! And... renjun?" She said confused. "Hold on give me a second." She said before going to give the customer their cake. "Enjoy." She said with a smile.
"Thank youu."

Hyunji then walked up to them before giving Insu a hug. "What are you guys doing here so late?" She asked.
"Insu kept bugging me to come see you at work." Renjun said. "Like he really wouldn't stop talking about coming to visit you even though we saw you this morning."

"Awe." She said as she picked him up. "I'm gonna see you tomorrow already." She said with a chuckle.
"But jiji! I get come your work!" He said excitedly.
She smiled. "Here come sit over here." She said to renjun as she brought them to a table.
"You guys want anything to drink?"

"Nah. We'll just chill here for a bit until Insu feels like we can go home."
Hyunji chuckled. "Okay then." She said before going back behind the counter to continue her work.

Another customer came in and ordered a coffee.
Hyunji kinda looked at them weirdly because why would they want a coffee so late at night, but she wasn't judging.
"Alright it'll be out in just a minute." She said with a smile before turning around and making their drink.

A couple minutes passed before she gave them their order. "I hope you enjoy." She said with a smile.
"Thanks, I will." They chuckled. "You must think I'm pretty crazy to order a coffee so late huh."
She looked at him. "I mean.. maybe a bit, but we all have a reason for something right?" She chuckled.

"Yeah, tell me about it." He said as he sipped his drink. "My wife just gave birth, and man... that baby sure can cry late at night." He said.
"Oh no... well, at least your baby and wife is okay after the birth and everything." She said with a smile.

"You got that right..." he said.
He took another sip before looking at his cup. It looked like he was thinking deep about something before he opened his mouth.

"Actually, her mother passed away after giving birth to her, so she was a little scared. Not scared that she would pass, but scared our baby would blame themselves for her death. I kept reassuring her that it would be okay though. I mean, I love her with all my heart so I tried my best to calm her down." He rambled as Hyunji listened.

Him telling her a story about his life was pretty sudden, but she didn't mind one bit.

"And I don't mean this is a bad way, but If she did happen to leave me with our baby boy, it would be heart breaking yea, but I'd love that baby boy with my whole heart. I'd make sure he felt double the love to fill in the mother role. I'd also want to make sure he didn't feel like he killed his mother." He said.
