Destined for Love

Fourty eight

It's been exactly 2 nights I've slept in the guest room. I decided against unpacking completely as I'm very aware of my ease to giving in to Corbin.

Every night before bed he said the same thing

"I won't tell if you don't"

And every time he's said it I want to give him in.

His mom has picked up extra shifts so she hasn't been here as often as I'd wish she would be. I love talking to her. She's so sweet.

And she makes delicious food but that's beside the point.

I'm wearing a white T-shirt and Jean shorts matched with an old pair of sandals.

I braided my hair into 2 braids today.

We're going to Rav's tonight to get plastered and swim again, of course, this is just a guess as no one informed me of what was going on.

I unzip my bag to put my bathing suit and extra set of clothes in, just in case we end up staying there.

Just as I'm about to put my suit in my bag a knock sounds at my door.

"You don't have to knock Corbin" I yell.

He opens the door in his usual plain white t-shirt and shorts. A smile on his face as he makes his way behind me. Wrapping his arms around my waist and kissing my forehead.

"Nooo, bring your white suit" he whines, grabbing my white one out of my suitcase he packs it in my bag himself.

I smile knowing I can't say no. I like the white one too.

"What are the plans for today?" I question throwing an oddball outfit in and zipping my bag.

"I don't know about today but I know about tonight" he grins pointing to me then him and finally the direction of his room.

"Has it been two nights already?" I tease.

"Yes, it has" he chirps back not letting me get my tease on.

He zips my suitcases with a smile before sauntering off, bags in hand, to his room.

"Everything is right in the world now" he nods, obviously proud of himself.

I just smile and nod knowing there's no way I'm NOT sleeping in the same bed as Corbin tonight.

We make it to Rav's after stopping at the diner for something to eat.

We also grabbed 2 cases of beer and a bottle of vodka. And of course, he wouldn't let me pay.

Rav texted me telling us to meet her out back and that there was some sort of surprise.

"Ooo you think it's coffee girl?" Corbin says giggling like a girl telling hot gossip.

I can't help the laughter that comes out of my mouth.

We make our way out back and Corbin was right.

Rav and coffee girl are cuddling on a lawn chair together.

Vincent and Kiera are sitting next to Draven on the edge of the pool.

Mel of course is lying in the pool on her chosen pink floaty.

Corbin sets down the beer and vodka next to the grill.

I walk up to Rav and her new boo with a huge smile on my face.

I'm so happy she's finally found someone and doesn't have to 7 wheel.

"Hiiii" she chirps beside me as I sit down on the lawn chair.

"Hiiii" I chirp back.

Coffee girl smiles at our interaction and leans into Raven a bit more likely nervous before she starts talking.

"It's nice to finally meet you all in a nonwork setting" she giggles.

"Rav has told me SO much about all of you" She looks at Raven with a smirk and then back at me.

"All good things I hope" I say back hoping to break a bit of ice as Corbin sneaks up behind me.

"Oh, definitely good things, except for Draven. Him not so much" She shakes her head laughing.

"Hi baby" Corbin cuts in handing me a beer.

Before I'm able to thank him Vincent starts yelling.

"Okay, fuckers chicken in 10?" He says standing up and taking his shirt off.

Everyone else is already in their swimsuits.

"Fuck yeah, REMATCH" Corbin yells back, throwing me over his shoulder he grabs my bag and walks me inside.

I hear laughter fade as we make it through the sliding door.

"Hurry" he says smacking my ass and handing me my bag.

I do as I'm told and quickly put on my bathing suit.

I walk out and see Corbin standing in the kitchen. Shirtless, now wearing a pair of white swimsuit bottoms.

"You could've just asked to match me you know, weirdo" I laugh teasing him about throwing my white suit in.

"But I wanted it to be a surprise dummy, wouldn't have been a surprise if I asked to match now would it?" He smirks kissing me before throwing me back over his shoulder and walking back outside.

"Oh, It's so on" Corbin screams as soon as the door shuts.

I see from the corner of my eye that everyone is already in the pool.

Kiera is already on Vincent's shoulders.
