Chapter 30

Y/n POV

After the lights turned on we all start pressing the buttons and switches to see what they do and hope this will help Darius and Sammy. Then the computer screens started showing camera footage. I heard a "Huh?" and turned to look at Kenji looking at some buttons next to the generator. There was a blinking green button that he was staring at then he presses it. But nothing happens, so he starts to spam press the button. I don't think that is a good idea but then again nothing seems to happen. But the button stops glowing and Kenji sighs of relief, then he proceeds to close the generator. I turn back to the screens as I hear Brooklyn say "Now, where are they?" Yasmina then suddenly gasps and says "You guys, look! They're right there!" We all look at the screen and some even talked as if they could hear them through a screen.

But something was wrong Darius and Sammy seemed frightened as if they are trying to do something. Then on another screen we all see Tiff and Mitch closing in on them with electric rods. Our happiness turns into horror once we realize their situation. "Shoot! No, no!" yelled Brooklyn then she gasps and tries to speak to them through what seems like the speakers. "Darius, Sammy, behind you!" she yelled then Kenji screamed "Darius! Sammy! Guys!" Ben then spoke "They can't hear us" and Brooklyn yelled "Where is the stupid speaker button?" As we watched on the screen what was happening. But to the looks of it Tiff and Mitch look happy, that's not good. I was looking at one screen and saw a tail, I gasped once I realized what it was. Everyone looked at me and I turned to them to say "The t-rex has left  her nest!" Aleem then says "Oh no!"

On the screen we could see how the t-rex chased them, but Tiff and Mitch managed to escape with their guns as Darius and Sammy are left, and endanger with the t-rex near them. They hide as the t-rex starts walking. "Oh, that's it. Come on, be a good girl and go on back home" said Brooklyn but the t-rex stopped walking as it looked like it sniffed the air. Then she starts walking toward them! We watch anxiously as the t-rex starts shaking the table they are hiding under. Then the t-rex finds them and they start running into a small corner, thankfully the t-rex can't fix she head into the small gap to get them. (I have a big head and little arms. I'm just not sure how well this plan was thought through. Master?)

We all started pressing buttons to seem if we could do anything to help. "There's gotta be another way to help" said Brooklyn and Kenji started to say out loud the function of the buttons and switches. "Fence control, power to retail shops, automatic advertising loop... hologram?" he said. I looked at the screen and saw that the t-rex was very close to getting them. Brooklyn then switched some switches, pressing some buttons,pulled a lever and then she turned a nob. Whatever it did distracted the t-rex, so we all started doing thing that would distract the t-rex from Darius and Sammy. We turned the lights off and on which disoriented the t-rex. We all cheered that we saved them and then the t-rex roared. Then a hologram of another t-rex appeared next to it, oh this will be interesting. Both the t-rex hologram and the real t-rex started roaring at each other and Darius and Sammy started to escape.

We all laughed and cheered that they managed to escape the t-rex. Suddenly there was a noise that sounded like mic feedback ring and static, was that the speakers? Kenji then started using it by saying "Testing. Testing. Party people! What, what? Hello, humans. It is I, your leader." Aleem got annoyed at what he was doing and pushed him out of the way, then Brooklyn started using the mic. "We found a backup generator and turned the power on! We can't hear you. What are you trying to say? What happened to Tiff and Mitch?" said Brooklyn. But we can't hear them so she continues speaking, "I still can't hear you. Act it out!" Then they started to drink something...., what is that supposed to mean. "Ooh, I love this game. Okay, uh... TV shows? Books? A song!" Kenji said but they seemed annoyed and try acting again.

"A circle! Dirt! They're drinking, uh... water!" said Yasmina. "The watering hole. They are going to the watering hole!" said Aleem once he realized something. Darius gave thumbs up and Sammy sent kisses, I guess he is correct. Then Darius did a gun shooting motion, Yasmina sighs and says "Mitch and Tiff know where it is." Brooklyn continued her sentence by saying "And they're going to kill the dinosaurs." Oh no!
